Usually with starters you get what you pay for. I decided to take a chance because the starter was easy to replace and the car is not necessary for daily use. The part was shipped unbelievably fast and when I received it it was an alternator. However it took maybe 30 seconds to fix the problem with Amazon and they shipped immediately without the return so even with the error I received the correct starter in less than 5 days and that was over a holiday weekend so I was impressed. The starter worked perfectly no fitment issues at all and works perfectly it may not last as long but at under half the price I would not hesitate to buy again. I was pretty apprehensive about buying car parts from Amazon, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! It arrived quickly in a small box, well packaged and safe. I can't speak for the installation as I didn't do it myself, but I assume it was pretty standard. As far as performance it works great. At a 1/4 of the cost compared to one from the auto parts store, this seems well worth it. It's packaged well, there appears to have been attention to detail when this was manufactured. It works great, no misfires or any sign of substandard quality. We will see how this is holding up in a year from now but I anticipate it to still be working just fine. ... show more

Amazon actually sent me the correct starter LOL !!!!!! After I took off the old rusty one my main concern was Man after all this work I hope the sent me the right part. I installed it and the motor kicked right over !!!! WOW was I happy, and so was my Daughter since it's her car LOL !!!! I picked up the starter from one of Amazon's many locker box locations. It was VERY convenient and I'll do it again anytime. I have not been paid for writing this but "HEY AMAZON, if you want to pay me $1000.00 for these positive words just credit my account !!! Installed this a month ago in my wifes 2005 Saturn Ion. Was a relatively quick swap out. Top bolt was a little tricky, but job took maybe 30 minutes total. So far, starter works great. No problems.
