Description

PPC EX6 PLUS Universal Compression Connectors for RG6 series cable are up to SCTE standards providing a secure watertight connection and excellent pull strength with effortless installation. Installers are faced with the problem of identifying old unmarked 60% through Quad Shield Series 6 cable, and having to guess which connector is the best match. This results in unnecessary service calls due to the use of the wrong connector/cable match. The unique patented design of the EX body achieves true universality on 60% through Quad Shield for PE, and PVC jackets for RG6 series cable.

  • Great product for helping to use the smallest amount of antenna cable
I needed to remove 30 year old unshielded coaxial cable and replace it with quad shield cable to get good antenna reception in my house. I bought these and the tool recommended by TheAntennaManPA to make my own antenna cables. These worked great. They appear to be heavy duty and of a high quality. I am very pleased with them. ... show more

  • Worked perfectly
Admittedly, after reading some reviews, that questioned the connectors use on RG6 Quad shield cable, I was hesitant, as I have only ever used connectors with the hex crimp. I can state categorically that these connectors work perfectly on quad cable after installing them. I was running a new TV outlet outside on our camping trailer and had to make up three cables using quad shield cable, and these worked perfectly, as long as the cable was properly prepared. I did not purchase a compression tool and used opposing channel lock pliers and a flat washer to compress the fitting, so I did sacrifice the first connector, as I did not use the washer and damaged the threaded end, but even that connector seated perfectly and easily on the cable. I would not hesitate to purchase these connectors again. ... show more

  • Good connectors, but lack documentation
Previously: I don't know what RG6 cable these are supposed to work with, but they do _not_ work with the spool of "Syston 2256 RG6/U Quad shield 3GHz broadband premium" cable I got from Home Depot. I've been terminating coax for decades, and this was the most miserable experience I've ever had. It took almost 2-1/2 hours to terminate 3 cables. Edit: I've decided this is just crappy cable [I'd never have bought cable from Home Depot, but I didn't plan this project.] This cable doesn't work well with any of the connectors I've tried except for the Klein VDV812-6xx compact ones that have the truncated ferrule that doesn't project up under the inner braid in the cable. The problem with the cable is that the dielectric cross-section is irregular (not very round), and seems to be slightly oversized. If you carefully use some smooth-jawed, duck-billed pliers to compress and round the dielectric, then carefully work an RG6 flaring tool onto the cable as far as you can, it's then usually possible to force "normal" connectors onto the cable end as long as have something like a Paladin 1927 onto which you can thread the connector to provide a handhold that can generate more force than you can holding onto the connector with by hand or pliers. I am still knocking 1 star off these connectors because I was unable to find any specifications on what the compressed length is supposed to be or any photos of what they're supposed to look like when fully compressed. ... show more

  • Fit RG6 Quad Shield
Fit RG6 quad shield as described. Excellent quality After struggling with connectors that did not fit RG6 quad shield, I got these and was able to move ahead with my project. Worked fine with a $16 compression tool from Amazon

  • Best connectors
Top notch connectors. Perfect material make up and easy to use (also the exact same your directv guy shows up with for install). What you need and a really low price!

  • Compression Connectors
Repaired a coax cable using this Compression Connector and it worked great. Note that I did have to use a Compression Tool which is a seldom used tool in a normal household, but cheap enough to have available in your personal tool collection.
