  • Easy to install
Size: 3/4 in.
Worked great to get my PRV installed. Mines in an open area so I can keep an eye on it for leaks.

  • Sealed tight and no leaks
Size: 1 in.
I had to install a new Well Water Diaphram Tank. After initial install, I had a slow drip leak at the tank’s 90 degree elbow at the PVC threaded 1 inch fitting. I decided to purchase this Sharkbite PVC connector. The fitting came with a tool to mark the correct insertion length of the pipe. The instructions also tell you not to cut the pvc pipe with a hack saw. You need to use a tool designed to cut plastic piping. After putting teflon tape on the upper thread and pipe dope at the root, I screw the fitting into the elbow and tightened it using my wrench. I then inserted the plastic 1 inch pvc pipe into the the fitting making sure it was at the marked insertion point. I coupled the union at the other end of the pipe to the supply side, opened the isolation valve and charged the tank with water. I had zero leaks and rechecked after one hour, 24 hours later still no leaks. I highly recommend this device. ... show more

  • INVALUABLE! VERSATILE!
Size: 1 in.
Don’t use teflon tape or rector seal if threading into metal pipe! Old fashioned pipe dope from Harvey or do it best gives me the best results. The rectorseal stuff with the microfibers seems to be prone to drips when doing metal on metal connections. That just my experience. The connections between metal & plastic can be a problem for numerous reasons. Different expansion rates, stresses imposed by stronger metal fittings especially metal male into female plastic. The ability to reliably transition from metal to pvc alone is a big deal but the added features of rotation and reusability makes this connector a home run for me. My latest application was on my shallow well jet pump. Frequent leaks due to vibration & expansion were a problem on my discharge pipe but thanks to the 1” pvc to 1” male sharkbite I not only have a durable reliable union but it’s adjustable, I can rotate that connection 360° ! I’ve used sharkbite push connector on pex & copper over the years with 100% success, I’ve never had a failure. My only advice is to apply a tiny amount of silicone gel to the pipe exterior after cleaning prior to inserting to prevent binding. Many of the fittings already are lubricated but now and then I’ll find one that’s dry. I think you can tell I’m a big fan, I highly recommend this product. I never accept anything in return for my review and I’m not associated with this product or any seller. ... show more

  • TX-SharkBite 1 Inch PVC x 1 Inch MNPT Adapter
Size: 1 in.
Used this to repair a damaged Sprinkler line. The sharkbite is much better for PVC repair and PVC glue. with proper cleaning and prepping, no leak.

  • Be careful if you are not familiar with size
Size: 1 in.
They worked perfectly by connecting two of these to a copper elbow to replace a broken PVC elbow with ease: just cut off PVC elbow together with glued pipe ends inside, remove sharp edges and put the assembly right on, it might not fully reach both ends if pipes can’t be moved in a repaire job though but enough to seal it. If no leaks then apply the special tape used for underground, done. It was almost impossible for me to remove the old glued PVC elbow, re-glue a new one in the tight underground spaces if not using this part. And I had to tight them with copper elbow very hardly with a lot of teflon tapes put on the screws clockwise otherwise it leaks from the screw joints. However the size is nominal size, when it says 3/4, you are getting OD: 1", i originally ordered 1" one and that is too large. Minus one star for not emphasizing it in the description ... show more

  • Quality and Sturdy Product
Size: 3/4 in.
Very easy to use and install. There are other products that are very similar to the Shark bite product at a much lower cost. I used both on this project to try and could go either way in future

  • Sharkbite saves lives!!!
Size: 1/2 in.
Coming from a guy that has plumbing experience but no specialty tools, Shark bite fittings have saved me multiple times. Used these to change out a shower. All you have to do is use teflon tape on the threaded end and make sure the snap end gets a good connection and you are golden!!!!

  • Used on Pressure Vacuum Breaker for Brass to Brass Fitting Connection
Size: 3/4 in.
I've always had a slow leak develop where the PVC male threaded fitting goes into the brass female threaded fitting on the pressure vacuum breaker for the irrigation drip/sprinkler system. Before PVC pipe--->PVC male thread fitting--->brass female thread on pressure vacuum breaker After PVC pipe--->Sharkbite brass male thread fitting--->brass female thread on pressure vacuum breaker I think having a brass fitting connecting to another brass fitting will solve the leak that I always got from having a PVC male fitting connected to a brass female fitting. I ordered two of the 3/4 Sharkbite fittings and both packages INCLUDED the plastic 3/4 plastic disconnect tool, which specifically fit for PVC size pipe. Amazon also sells the PVC disconnect tool here https://www.amazon.com/SharkBite-Fitting-UIP716A-3-Pack-Disconnect/dp/B01EHUL430 ... show more
