  • Works well with Festool track saw
Style: Guide rail for Makita, 2PK
I had a long edge to trim for a deck project, and my original Festool rail had seen better days. These two rails cost less than one replacement OEM rail would cost. Manufacturing quality is pretty good, not as good as Festool, but it still works fine. The adhesive used for the slick parts of the top peeled up a bit, but again, still did not affect the cut. The zero clearance edge sticks out pretty far, but is trimmed off after the first cut. It comes with two bars to join the tracks together, those work fine. Only negative was a slight bend on one end, probably due to shipping. Update: I have used these rails on and off for about 2 years and I have been really happy with them. I bought one of the storage bags for the rails which helps immensely to keep them from getting damaged and I store the two Powertec and the original festool rail together. I'm not a pro, but I do enough work around the house where this saw and these rails make the difference. A recent boat restoration project was helped along by using the rails to cut new pieces of plywood in all sorts of shapes and sizes. The zero clearance strip is still a bit loose but it hasnt fallen off and doesnt seem to affect the cut quality at all. ... show more

  • Fantastic
Style: Guide rail for Makita, 2PK
I purchased these instead of the ridiculously expensive milwaukee ones. They're straight and work well with track saw. For the anti-tip feature on the Milwaukee, all you you have to do is file it down a little and it'll work with these tracks.

  • Great quality!
Style: Guide rail for Makita, 2PK
I came from a Kreg ACS track saw and purchased the Milwaukee M18 Track saw. It doesn't come with tracks so I purchased these to go along with it. Quality is significantly better than the Kreg track and it works wonderfully with the Milwaukee saw. Even the anti tip feature works (Milwaukee saw has a tab the pops out and engages in the track to kip if from tipping on 45 degree cuts), which some people said only the Milwaukee track has. Awesome value for the money! ... show more

  • Well made. As good as Festool? Yeah pretty much.
Style: Guide rail for Makita, 2PK
Arrow straight. Tested with a 4 foot Starret machinist's straight edge. Joining mechanism works well, but Festool's is somewhat better. The cutting edge strip is well adhered and of a stiffer, sturdier mateial than Festool's. Quality is there. Cost is well under half that of Festool. I'm a Makita guy overall, but when it comes to track saws I'm a Festool guy. They just are better thought out and the well thought out system really does make a difference. I have an $800 TS60 track saw, four hundred dollars worth of the FSK series crosscut track system which is an unique tool and in itself is a darn good reason to buy the TS60 saw, and a $700 CT MIDI dust extraction system, so I'm not a penny pincher, but I spend money where it makes sense. Festool's ridiculously expensive standard tracks don't make sense. I have bough Makita track in the past, but I actually like this Powertec track better. ... show more

  • don't stick, it shrunk 1/2" then fell off. Both times.
Style: 118" Splinter Guard
Even after scraping all the old glue off and cleaning it 14 times with acetone and soap the ends of the strip curled and came off during a cut which caused sawdust to get in there so I can pretty much write this off as a loss. It'll never stick again if it was ever going to. Got frustrated and left it alone for a week and when I came back to it the edges were rolled off again but this time when I stick them back down it's 1/4" short on all the ends. Like what the actual........ I didn't stretch it AT ALL putting it on. **updated** I leaned the tracks up against the wall hoping time would cure the glue. When I came back a few days later the strips had fallen to the floor. ***updated again*** I purchased another roll and tried it again. Cleaned the track several times with acetone, soap & 97% alcohol just to make certain there was no residue on the track. Applied and rolled it with a j-roller. Shrunk and fell off just as the other did. ... show more

  • Works just like my makita track
Style: Guide rail for Makita, 2PK
Works just like my Makita track for much less money. I used to worry about bringing my makita tracks to the job site cause they are a little expensive but this pair of tracks was cheap enough to actually use all the time. The connectors work well (I’m still not sure how much I trust them for really fine stuff but I felt the same about the makita connectors). The only small flaw I’ve noticed is that the rubber guide strip came unstuck a couple times when I first got them but those are replaceable and for the value these still get 5 stars ... show more

  • Perfect match for my Makita corded track saw
Style: Guide rail for Makita, 2PK
So, about a year ago I got my Makita track saw with one 55" Makita track. It's excellent. I fought the idea of paying that kind of money for something I didn't think I really, really needed....then I learned just how handy a good track saw is. If you get one you will never regret it. Anyway, at the time I decided to get two of the Powertec tracks so I could keep them joined for ripping the length of plywood sheets. And use the 55" Makita track for cross cutting. Perfect idea, because other than the color the Powertecs are the exact same quality, weight, etc. as the Makita. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed. ... show more
