UPDATE: Have to give it a five, for three reasons. 1. Super easy to wipe the detritus from the black side. 2. Got it back into both bags, easily, **the very first time**. 3. Noticed that patch kits are sewn into the seam at the top of the carry bag, with clear instructions. Really thoughtful details. Clearly designed by people who camp. Or, maybe, love people who camp. Or, maybe, loathe people who camp and make good stuff so that the people will stay away, camping, for as long as possible. Pick your favorite reason. The outcome is the same: a great pad that does what it says, and does it really well. _________________________________________ If I could give 4.5, I would. The filling process and time knock it down a bit. Not comfortable giving a five, but am just on the edge! When the box arrived and the app said it was the ground pads, I thought it was an error. How could a box that small hold two of them? It did, with room to spare! The next thing I noticed was how lightweight these ground pads are! Holy wow! Also? There is an outer carry bag, and then the inner bag, with the pad inside. The inner bag is the filling tool. Neat and sweet. FILLING: Wellll…. The good news, you do not have to blow it up from your lungs! The better news, the pad side has a filter, so that even if you get weird stuff in the air bag, it won’t go into your pad. The somewhat less good, but maybe it will become faster in time, is how long it takes to fill. 12 minutes in, I am about half way there. It will give your neck and arms something to do, so there’s that. (Don’t you hate it when you are camping, and you’re just standing there, not knowing what to do with your arms?) On the other hand, I thought I had to take the air bag off after each emptying. Shortcut for the curious: you do not have to do that. At 25 minutes, I could no longer force air into it, and I am a strong sister. So, I grabbed my XPOWER air duster, which had a tip just the right size, and finished it with that. I think I will do it that way, more often than not. COMFORT Solid win, those little honeycomb air pockets gave me so much support! Even lying on my side. Truly comfortable. As in, going to place with more people than beds, I would happily whip this little gem out! Also, the length is no joke. It is long enough for me to lie straight out, and still have room for my 65-pound, tall and gangly dog to be off of the ground, as well. EMPTYING Not as difficult as filling. Not as difficult as other pads I have used. In fact. Pro tip: offer to break them down if your camping buddy will fill them. Your camping buddy will be all about the snappy filling tool. I couldn't be happier with my POWERLIX sleeping pad! From the moment I opened the package, it was clear that this product is designed for convenience and comfort. Setting it up was a breeze—no pump, no lung power needed—just effortless inflation. Once inflated, I was genuinely surprised at how comfortable it felt. It's like it was made for a great night's sleep! Breaking it down was just as easy as setting it up. The pad rolled up and folded without any hassle, and it fit perfectly back into the inflation bag, which then slid snugly into the carry bag. Very thoughtful design! I've used this product 6 nights on various ground conditions during the summertime, including packed gravel and woodlands. It's durable and you can be reasonably assured this will not pop in the middle of the night, granted you've done some very basic clearing of your site for comfort. The ripstop fabric is impressively tough while maintaining comfortability,r factor, and quietness. *Personally, I think similar pads with thicker materials/higher weight would be durability overkill, especially for ultralight. C'mon. It's very comfortable for what it is and I'd be surprised to see any drastic difference with much more expensive, heavy pads. The cellular design pattern really does mold to the body in a way that mimics a much deeper mattress. The included pump bag is very efficient and can serve as a temporary waterproof bag(non submersible) in a pinch, which I thought was a nice touch. Havent put it inside a sleeping bag but im sure that would be a glove fit. The material is water resistant and Im confident it would operational with a very wet footprint. I did use this in a bad rainstorm and i was much more confident in this oad than my tent's rainfly. I bought this because of its portability and I am satisfied with its pack size and ease of disassembly. High quality 2 way valve and storage bags with secure sinches. Tip: I have found it easier to inflate, deflate, and fold this pad ontop of my tent or a Ridgeline, and this can GREATLY reduce chances of punctures. It's also easier to fold the pad more precisely. Lastly, I did what you're doing right now. All the reviews, comparing identical products, with or without the pillow scooter stick. They're all very nice but this once is actually a reliable addition to your long term set up. I'm gladly taking this on an extended backpacking trip in very diverse terrain, and am fairly certain I will continue to use this camping for 5 years. Not to be that guy, but if you take care of this equipment and look out for pointy sticks, loose keys, and nearby sources of heat/fire, this pad will probably last over ten years. The camo is pretty playful and not aggressive, although I would have chosen a high visibility color for multi use. I gave 4 stars only because I like to break up the data and also I feel that this product could have been a fraction lighter/smaller in packaging size, but very marginally. It's very pack size cost effective. Update: AUG 2023...The pad is still working perfectly as designed. One must ensure that all valve caps are firmly closed on pad because I did awake to a slightly deflated pad once. The toughness of the ripstop is holding up pretty well. Valves are intact. Bag is functional. Minimal to no wear on either. I used this pad another 10 nights (about 16 nights total?) In more diverse conditions, some with moderate debris, and no punctures. The comfort level is highly dependent on slope angle of site, debris removal, and absence of rocks/bumps. More expensive pads appear to be more comfortable but I have yet to test any in real time conditions. This pad suffices. Update april 2024:Pad has failed with 10+ leaks invisible to eye. I patched these holes with repair sealant but still defalt3d very quickly. All of the holes were in the seams between hexagonal bubbles. Irreparable. ... show more
