🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

Overall, the product received high praise from users for its reliable performance and durability. Many found the batteries to be effective in their usage, offering extensive battery life and functioning well under varying conditions. A few customers had issues with battery drain, but these situations appear to be outliers.

Pros

  • 🔋 Reliable and long-lasting battery performance.
  • 🔄 Comes with a convenient dual-slot charger.
  • 💰 Offers significant value compared to original Sony batteries.
  • ✔️ Great for using as spare batteries during intensive photo shoots.

Cons

  • 🔽 Some customers reported batteries draining faster than others.
  • 🚫 Non-Sony battery warnings may occasionally be triggered.

Should I Buy It?

Considering its high ratings, backed by positive customer reviews praising its long battery life and cost-effectiveness compared to the original Sony product, this appears to be a worthwhile investment. While there are some minor drawbacks, the overall performance and quality make it a compelling buy especially for professional photographers and videographers who need reliable and high-performing batteries.

  • As good as the originals and cheaper
The batteries came with battery charger that charges two batteries at the same time. The batteries are as good as the battery that came with the camera. I use the same brand battery for an external HDMI camera monitor.

  • Works great!
It gives me same juice as a sony battery, really recommended

  • **Edit** Amazing Customer Service
**Edit** In my original order, I had 1 battery that drained noticeably faster than the other (probably about 75-80% of the run time of the other battery). Even after a few charging cycles it was the same. Their customer service reached out to me because they read this review, and offered to replace it with no charge. I received the replacement battery and it works perfectly. I've used this brand for my Fuji camera too without any sort of issue - and it's great knowing they stand behind their product! Buy without worry!!! **Original** This is the first time I’ve ever had any issues with Powerextra (I also have batteries for Fujifilm) - but one of the two batteries drains noticeably faster. I thought maybe it was because I was pushing the settings and runtime on the A7Siii but after a charge, 1 does rundown quicker than the other. However, the other battery does perform just as well as the Sony OEM so I’m still coming out ahead. The one that drains quick, I’d say is about 75-80% capacity of a Sony OEM. Between my cameras, I’ve got 10 powerextra batteries, so you can still buy with confidence. I’ve heard 3rd party batteries can be more finicky, so maybe I got one that the camera doesn’t recognize like an OEM?? It’s also the one that triggers the non-sony battery warning on occasion. I can’t comment on longevity yet, but if it’s like the ones I’ve got for my other camera then there shouldn’t be any issues. However, I rated the product a 3 because of the performance inconsistency - but if I order more with no issues, then I’ll revise my score. ... show more

  • Excllent Charger and Batteries
When you are on a fixed budget, items like this help keep costs inline. The batteries are Rev 2 compliant, the Sony Cameras do not have any issues with them, and they have equal to if not a bit longer duration than the Sony Batteries. The Charger is great, in that the USB Charging Cord tucks into its own grooved space in the bottom so the unit is perfectly flat, and the cord cannot get ripped out of the assembly. A touch of class for that feature. Excellent all the way around. ... show more

  • One battery lasted for one use. Can no longer be charged, just dead.
The charger works great. Charges one battery well and my original Sony battery. However the second battery it came with is dead. Cannot charge or anything after just one use.

  • I use it frequently and it works well all the time
A great product and use it to charge sony camera batteries

  • Yes I like the charger and batteries
I bought this charger and battery combination because I upgraded to a Sony a7IV. The batteries took a few hours to charge but held up through 3 photo sessions before needing to be recharged.

  • As good as the Original Sony, if not better!
Works great and holds the charge on my A7RIV. It’s as good, if not better, than the OEM that came with the camera. For the price, you get two awesome batteries and a dual charger. This is by far the best deal on any charging system I’ve ever seen. Mirrorless go fast through batteries, so don’t go pro with one or you will be s.o.l. This is a great investment, much better than OEM stuff because of the prices. ... show more
