  • Amazing card
I'm loving the card so far after having it for over a month. I got the card for myself for my birthday after seeing it being a reasonable price and watching multiple reviews. Pros - Runs any game in 1440p at high settings no problem - Temps stay really low in the 50s to 60s - The UI for AMD is really nice after getting used to it - AMDs video encoder for either streaming or just recording is really good - Amazing performance for the price. Honestly in my opinion the card can be equivalent to a 3080 TI in certain situations without ray tracing - More than enough VRAM Cons - The card sometimes has a loud coil whine that can be heard even with headphones on. Not sure if it's just because the card is still brand new and hasn't been broken yet or not. - The card works best for me undervolted slightly. When I first got the card my temps were always very high no matter what game I played. After undervolting a tiny bit my temps went down 20 or 30 degrees. - I love the UI AMD has...but it can be a little annoying trying to find certain things you want. - Since the card is big and heavier than my last one it had a little bit of sagging going on when I installed it. Would definitely recommend either getting an actual bracket or if you want to save some money and don't care how it looks use zip ties. - Not counting this against just AMD, because it happened with my NVIDIA card too. Sometimes when clipping things in games the sound won't be captured even though you have the correct output being used in the software. It's really annoying because I would have friends say or do something funny and I would clip it to watch it later, but it would have no sound. Overall - The card is amazing and definitely worth the investment. Doesn't matter what side you are on when picking a GPU they both have their issues. I personally chose this card mainly for just the price to performance aspect and since I don't really care about ray tracing too much. ... show more

  • Comparable to Asus TUF Card
This is my first venture into AMD GPUs and first time purchasing Power color. Previously I owned Asus ROG or TUF GPUs and was skeptical at first to order another brand, however for $530 for a 6800XT (Comparable to RTX 3080) it was a no brainer. Here is a summary Pros 1) Excellent build quality minus the fancy RGBs (There is a beautiful Red Dragon Logo in Red LED which you can turn off with the LED Switch if you don't want it) 2) There is OC / Silent BIOS switch . My focus has always been noise free gaming build on a micro ATX/ITX case so Silent BIOS with a bit more undervolt was the perfect combination for my RIG 3) Card is absolutely Silent (ZERO COIL WHINE!) . Make sure you plug two separate PCI E cables (Not the split) directly from a good brand PSU. I use Corsair RMX 850W . 4) GPU Fans stop spinning somewhere below 57c. Fact - I run OW2 at 1440P/ 144hz with all settings maxed out and GPU temp is at 55c-58c with this card. COD MW2 (Not so optimized yet with lot of bugs with some tweaking runs under 72C GPE Temp. Near silent gaming ! I have two Intake fans right below the GPU to cool it further down quickly to reduce stress on the GPU fans 5) Runs every game at extreme or ultra settings flawlessly. This is a rasterization beast for what you pay for. Nothing from nvidia comes to close to this card for the price you pay including the Lovelace or even RDNA 3 from AMD. Price to performance award from me goes for 6800XT If you are into 1440p maxed out gaming or 4k at medium settings this card will deliver except ray tracing. However I dont stop in game and see if the reflections are accurate in each frame. Who really cares when most games already have beautiful reflection techniques without Ray tracing enabled! Check out Forza 5 Horizon or Spider Man Remaster for PC. You dont need ray tracing to deliver beautiful in game reflections at extreme settings Cons 1) AMD Adrenaline is a cluttered compared to Geforce experience. Game level optimization is limited but I don't really care. I always changed the in game graphic settings which gives me the most optimal performance. Summary : You are into high end gaming at 1440P with minimal to zero noise , good build quality and your priority is rasterization and not ray tracing.. Buy this frame crunching beast... Kudos to AMD and Powercolor for making cards like this where you don't have to sell your kidney to enjoy gaming! Nvidia, are you listening? AMD just converted a 27 yr Nvidia guy to Red side! ... show more

  • Excellent card if you have the money
I got this GPU to build my first pc, and after about a month of gaming and tweaking the tuning to get the most out of what I purchased I am more than happy with my 6800xt. This card is massive but shouldn't have much trouble fitting in most mid tower chassis. I noticed some slight sag so I picked up a prop for pretty cheap. A lot of reviews mention "terrible" coil whine and although it is audible at times if you check reviews for any modern comparable GPU you'll see complaints of coil whine. If I was playing Starfield with no audio, then maybe coil whine would bother me but I do not hear it over my speakers and definitely not through a headset. I paired this with a Ryzen 5 5600x, 32 gb 3600mhz DDR4 ram, and a Samsung 970 Evo m.2 on a Strix B550f motherboard all fit into a corsair 4000D airflow with no clearance issues at all. I haven't had any bottlenecking issues with this CPU/GPU combo with my sole use being gaming. I went ahead and used a Thermaltake 850w power supply just to have the confidence to never worry about power issues but im sure a 750w would work fine. I am still using a 1080p 165hz monitor as my main but this card has no trouble averaging 100 fps on Starfield with completely maxed out settings as well as 130+ in Warzone with max settings. I haven't had any issues with temperature control even with the Zero RPM setting enabled I dont recall it ever rising over 75° c under stress. Overall I am pretty much obsessed with my new build, especially this beast of a card for only 500 bucks. Nothing comparable on Nvidias side from personal research and I would buy this card again or recommend it to anyone trying to build a sweet pc for somewhere in the ballpark of $1000. ... show more
