SEE EDIT: The battery doesn't last long and the dinosaur has to be turned on and off a lot to register the remote. My 5 year old gets frustrated that it only works for maybe 10 minutes at most before having to troubleshoot. It's super cool, if only it would work more consistently and for a longer time. EDIT: After my initial review, the company reached out and sent a replacement dinosaur. The new dino works perfectly! The first one must have just had an issue.     • Kind of expensive for the few commands it does.
Even though this is exactly what my son wanted (a dino t-rex, never thought I'd find something like this) it doesn't do everything explained in its description. It says it's programmable, but for 1) programmable for what exactly? I thought you could program it to play songs or learn from. 2) there are no instructions included with the shipment except for where the batteries go. 3) you're supposed to be able to use hand gestures to command it but that doesn't work and it's probably the "programming" they're talking about, but no good if there aren't any instructions on how to do it. Will be a Christmas gift but I played with it. Cant say how long it will last until after the gift is used. Battery is not difficult to put in. Toy is large/heavy but ok for a 5 or 6 year old and up. I think grandson age 7 will enjoy it.
