Reasonable size and weight makes this a well balanced tool to hold. Weight of the tool alone is 5.4 ounces. Large buttons are easy and comfortable to use/push, unlike many other rotary tools. What makes this tool special are two things: 1) The ring light behind the collet is very useful (though I wouldn't mind it even brighter) compared to a single light on just side, 2) The On/Off button remembers your speed choice for 5 minutes. So, put the tool down for a moment, then pick it back up and restart it, and it goes right back to the same speed you just used. No having to push the button multiple times to get back to your desired speed. And, when you have gone more than 5 minutes, it restarts in a default middle (#3) speed, not the lowest or highest speeds. This speed memory is really convenient. ... show more

This rotary tool is a little bigger than most similar tools in its class and it is definitely more powerful. It bridges the gap from economical low-cost rotary tools and high quality name brand models. It has some very nice features. I really like the on/off switch that also acts as the head lock to allow tightening of the chuck. There are three stop points. It also has a nice digital display to show the speeds and changing the speeds is easy with the electronic button switch. Unfortunately, there is a feature that I really like that is missing. It doesn’t have an LED light for the work area. The size of the tool fits my hand better, and it gives me more precise control for the fine work that a rotary tool typically is used for. They have also included a nice plastic case and quite a few accessories to help cover lots of rotary tool jobs. I think this set is a good value. ... show more

Overall, I am super impressed with this package. I used this for light sanding for some of my DIY projects that I am doing around the house. It comes with so much stuff with a ton of variety in accessories that can be used with some of the other tools that i have. One thing that ill mention, which is something that comes with more premium tools is a light source thats attached to the tool. This rotary tool is no different and provides a ton of light in the really tight spaces that I am working with for the light sanding work that ive done on my stair rods. The rotary tool also has a few different speeds which is also a pretty unique feature at the value that I purchased this product for. The tool feels good in my hand and has good weight to it.
