This is one of those tools you have to factor in the price point and use case. The motor is not very powerful. You will likely need to break screws loose manually then let this remove them, likewise for tightening if it needs a good bit of torque. The cutoff/grinding attachment is not very powerful either, but it does work. I was easily able to cut some nails and screws with the cutting discs, but compared to an actual plug in dremel it was much slower. The flashlight is also there… it is neither very bright or well focused, more of a wide beamed shorter ranged one. All that said for the price you get a functional screwdriver and rotary tool with a flashlight that charges via USB-C for about the cost of lunch at most casual dining places. A key part to any tool is will I use it or carry it. For me it's an occasional use tool. I am keeping it on my modeling table with a grinding wheel to smooth rough spots or bad mold lines to grind them smooth. I also will grab it if my kids need a battery change for a toy since the Philips is the right size for most toys and it has plenty of juice for that. For the price this is a worthwhile pickup as a light duty/occasional use tool. ... show more

    • Hardly strong enough to put a screw in drywall
I had hopes of using this to sharpen my chainsaw. I could, but it would take more than an hour. As soon as you apply slight preasure it bogs down. Not a little, like it will stop if you don't let up. The other thing is remembering to turn it on instead of just pressing the directional arrow buttons. If you turn it off while in it's steady on/rotory tool mode, it will begin spinning when turned back on. That can be dangerous. I wish I could have given a positive review, but I really can't. ... show more

Very nice & helpful tool to have around home.... It really has came in handy more times than not.... It has really proved itself to be very useful for all of the smaller jobs that I do everyday throughout my home.... I believe it's one of those things that you never knew you really needed so bad.. and now that I've gotten it- I cannot see myself without it.. The only minor issue I have came across so far is with the battery life.... doesn't last v too to long. So if there was some way to improve the length of time that battery stays alive and in- use.... then this little multi-type tool would literally be very close to perfect, in my opinion!! :):) 7/10- even though battery doesn't last forever- I still would definitely recommend v this tool to everyone that thinks they would benefit from using it . ... show more

This is a light duty rotary tool. It would have some difficulty carving hard woods. However, I ordered to assist in foam l, for which this tool is perfect. It has a screwdriver attachment as well, which is a useful tool if you don’t have an electric screwdriver. This won’t drive screws like a drill, but will work on things like cabinets, doors or other light duty projects around the house. ... show more

    • Good little home use tool!
As with most "multi-" tools it performs a bunch of functions basically adequately, but not as good as purpose built tools. great starting place, but once you really need a good whatever - you'll end up buying a good whatever - this will hold you over until then nicely.
