I have a long wall in the living room heading to the hallway. On one side is a large wall mounted tv so matching the tones was important so as to blend in/compliment rather than distract. Thought I was ordering plain wood frames but the gold showed up. Not a bad gold-not too shiny, not too dull. The set has a good variety of sizes although the small was smaller than I expected and on a wall would get lost, even among the bigger ones. Wish the small started bigger and went from there. Giftable? Wouldn't think to give a set like this as a gift, but that's just me. ... show more

These frames seem to be solidly made. Nice weight to them, with a nice finish to the eye and hand. (This set was "Rustic Brown".) Has a nice quality perspective. Mats are respectable also. Two of the 8x10 frames, with four each of the 4x6 and 5x7 sizes as well. This is exactly what we were looking for in terms of a collage for family photos in a hallway. This frame set is exactly what I was looking for to add to my existing frame wall. The frames are of good quality with glass fronts. The backs have the easy swivel fasteners for removing the backs to add your picture. The instructions are well written with good color picture instructions. I also like that it comes with pattern ideas for your wall. These pictures also come with their own mail devices for hanging on a wall. This was a nice touch that I was not expecting.
