    • Great value - Requires thinning of paints for most pouring methods

I found some of the metallic colors of pouring paint to be a little too dark and dull for my personal taste, when using only these metallics in paintings. I personally find it best to use 1 or 2 of these paint colors per painting, along with other non-metallic paints. The Copper and 24 Karat Gold are my favorites - bright and very shiny. The metallic White creates pearls (clouds), which is fun if you're looking for that. These paints are thicker than I expected, so they do require you to mix in the included Pouring Medium or water to thin for most pouring art. That means you get more out of each bottle, but it is an added step I didn't expect. Great quality, as long as you know what you're getting. Great value. The customer service is exceptional. Being pre-mixed, these paints are ready to go right out of the bottle. The colors are excellent. My paintings literally glow when dry and the colors produced are a cut above everything else I've previously used. These paints are EXCELLENT and I heartily recommend them. I had spent a couple of years futzing around mixing paints with so many different mediums in many different combinations using floetrol, glue, water in a slew of formulas and recipes (every Youtube flow artist recommends their own favorite formulas and methods, if they even mention one at all). These paints take that guesswork and frustration out of the process and produce excellent, consistent results. And BEST of all, you can eliminate all of that time spent with the tedious mixing and stirring and get right to the fun of creating in a fraction of the time. I'm very pleased with this paint. It was easy to use and gave me the results I wanted. My only complaint is that I didn't find the instructions clear regarding mixing paint and gloss medium. I think I might have mixed them incorrectly. Was I supposed to do one part paint to two parts gloss medium, or vice versa? For anyone who wants to make decorative balls like these, I started with wooden balls. I mixed each color paint with the gloss medium in a paper cup. I poured a small amount of four colors into a clean paper cut, and did not stir. I then poured the paint over one of the balls, which was in a disposable aluminum pan. I swirled the pan so the ball rolled around, and continued to pour the paint over the entire ball. Once covered completely, I carefully lifted the ball out of the pan using my thumb and forefinger (I wore a disposable glove), and I placed the ball on a rack designed to dry painted rocks. When they were dry according to the paint directions, I sprayed them with two coats of clear gloss sealer. ... show more
