  • Blind cat is obsessed
Style: Classic
The media could not be loaded. I have a blind cat who loves playing but most toys don’t make enough noise for him to find it so simple got these! I did take out the little plastic catnip stopper because he’s quite naughty and I was scared he was going to rip it out and eat it but he doesn’t mind it without catnip. Fair warning, if you don’t want to wake up in the middle of the night to chirping, put these away at night cause they are pretty loud. ... show more

  • Both Cats are Having Fun!
Style: Classic
The media could not be loaded. My great cat was already chasing this toy and carrying it around in his mouth as soon as I took it out of the box. What initially got his attention was the sound of a bird rolling past him. lol. My calico tossed it around a moment, too, and I know they’ll both enjoy it even more when they aren’t in sleep mode. There are 3 balls total in the box (pink is bird sounds; yellow is cricket sounds; blue is frog sounds) along with a small bag of catnip. They are extremely soft and perfect for the cats to carry and toss around due to the lightweighted-ness of them. I read previous reviews about how they get chewed up quickly by cats and pieces fall off; however, these ones are an updated version from one year ago that seem more durable than before and actually include a really soft fur covering them. Cats are happy. ... show more

  • Very cute but ....
Style: Classic
Ok - I have a brother and sister pair. They are always curious and love to check everything out. I figured this would be a good toy for them. (I like to keep their little brains active) So, my big boy was curious but not enough to play with it. Just follow it when it rolls across the floor. NOW my little girl cat - well totally different story. She loves to carry things in her mouth. And she is my little hunter (no fly has lived long in this apartment). She loves the sounds and loves to carry it in her mouth. Now, she is little so it is almost too big for her mouth. But, when there is a will there is a way - right? lol ... My only problem is what happened overnight. (mind you these were delivered only a couple of days ago) I found out that I need to be awake and watching them when they play with these (well now with the two that are left). One of my furry roommates pulled the sound mechanicism out last night. Unfortunately the part that makes the sound is not inside the ball itself. It actually sticks out a little. And someone in here saw it was challenge to pull it completely out. So, great I now have to go around the apartment and try to find this plastic thing. That ball is damaged only that it won't make sound. So, kind of disappointed .... If you do purchase these (and if your furry roommates can be destructive a little) make sure you keep an eye on them and the toy. ... show more

  • These are dangerous.
Style: Classic
One of my cats nearly removed the small stopper which holds the catnip inside the ball. The stopper could easily choke the animal and could be deadly. i removed the stopper, emptied out the catnip and gave the ball back to him. He wasn't as excited but it won't kill him. The ball still emits little sounds intermittently. Don't buy these; if you have any, remove the stopper. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. How do I chasms the battery when it stops working?

  • Great for Pets
Style: Classic
I purchased a set of these toys for my kittens but my adult dog likes to hoard them for herself when she gets the opportunity. As soon as I passed one of these to each kitten they immediately wrapped themselves around it and bunny kicked to their hearts' content... a cherished reaction for cat lovers. My dog received the last one and decided the entire collection must belong to her. Each one makes a different sound: frog, bird, or grasshopper/insect It's been about a month; when my dog isn't guarding them I still hear my kittens playing with them, so they don't seem to have lost their novelty. They've held up to play from both kittens and a 50-lb dog and still make noise. ... show more

  • Cats love them
Style: Classic
These were for a cat birthday present. The four cats love playing with these. I didn't even put catnip in yet. They love toys that make sounds. The bird and cricket sounds are great. The frog one does not work. Great idea though. UPDATE: The frog one started making noise about a week later!! Love these!! ... show more

  • Dangerous!!
Style: Cartoon
Within less than a minute of my guy batting this around the floor, I noticed that the little blue stopper was on the floor. I took the toy and saw that the batteries were completely exposed and the stopper fits so loosely in the top that there is absolutely no safe way to let your pet bat these around without risk of the batteries being available for accidental ingestion. This could seriously injure or hurt any animal. I threw them in the trash. My little buddy loves these kinds of little sound making toys but it's not worth the risk. Thank God I noticed right away and got the batteries before anything happened. ... show more
