This is the best fleece I've ever had. It is heavy, as listed, and far warmer than I had anticipated. It is well made and will last me for years. I wear it whenever the outside temperature is in the 40s or below and have always felt comfortable. My 2xl allows layers and I can even put a coat over it, but not yet necessary. I've had it for over a year now and it's still solid black and thick after several washes - and I use it every day in the winter time. This appears to be a well made, very thick fleece jacket--warm, windproof, and comfortable. Zippers (YKK), cords, seams, etc., likewise seem good quality/well made. NOTE: this jacket was shipped from CANADA and took 2 1/2 weeks for delivery, including customs inspections--no big deal but be advised I didn't get any shipping info via Amazon. I received two of these fleece jackets on Tuesday, October 8. The jackets are warm and the fleece is nice. However, one of them looks like it was washed and dried. The zippers are warped and the material looks used. Beware, the arms are so wide to wear them in public.

Cheaper than columbia and northface and Eddie Bauer. Its not that thick as described. Just as warm as the above brands and about same thickness. Pretty much the same as more expensive brands. I would go with this brand as long ad still being created.
