I have dreaded the years I've had to fill my lawn tractor with diesel from a 5 gallon can. To hold the can steady with the valve open to fill the tank was tiresome and often resulted in leaking from the spout. Holding 50 pounds for the extended time the slow pour that the can's safety features required was excruciating. I like this product. I'm using it to drain water out of a fish tank, but it has other uses. The last pump I used for the fish tank was a manual pump, and it took a while to drain the water, but this one is quick and simple to use. The dual battery options are a nice touch as well.

Bought this to transfer water into and out of water bags for filling my RV from various sources. So far, it's working well. Pumps fast and it's quiet. The hose seems quality enough and didnt appear to leak, and I like the clip that comes with it to keep it attached to whatever you're filling. I'm not thrilled with the build quality, so that's why I'm taking one star off. At one point the AA battery holder or something inside the unit must have touched a contact that bypassed the switch, so the unit turned on with the switch off. A quick bump to the side of the handle stopped that, but it shouldn't have happened to start with. Also, if you plan to pump anything flammable like gasoline, be careful with fumes. There was a visible spark coming from the on/off switch so I wouldn't want to use it where there's a chance for flammable vapors to ignite. Overall, it works, it's reasonably fast, and it sure beats a hand pump. Could be built better, and I'm not sure how long it will last, but for the price, I'm happy. ... show more

It worked well, fast but it leaked a large amount of gasoline into the battery compartment and then onto the ground, extremely dangerous! It's going back!
