I small protective carrying case for my switch to make it easy to bring, but its always a hassle to bring the dock as there's no way to fit it in the carrying case, so I usually end up tossing everything into a backpack and lugging it around. I decided to pick this up as I can fit it in my zipper pocket of the switch case, making it easy to grab and go. As a huge plus, I found out it works with my steam deck and find it handier than carrying around a USB C hub with a USB C laptop charger(my normal load out for my deck). This item is a lot easier to carry around than the big block that came with the switch. It was easy to set up. All you need is 2 cords. one for the TV one for the switch and youโ€™re ready to go. I had mine hooked to extension cord as I couldnโ€™t get into the plug area and it still looked great. Highly recommend for those who want to travel with your switch but donโ€™t wanna take your whole connection. ... show more

I got the first one and it charged my switch from 0% to 24% and died. The replacement they sent won't even charge. The first one had HDMI output when I first plugged it in, but of course died when the unit did. Nothing at all from the replacement. I get a green light on the charger, but nothing on the switch saying it's charging and no HDMI output. Update: So the second one MAY not have been bad. It seems like after the first one stopped charging at 24%, my switch will no longer charge at the higher USB-C voltage (15V) but only at 5V. So, I can no longer use the dock (even the official dock) for charging or TV output. Awesome. ... show more

This device does so much to be so small I didn't realize all the things that it actually could do when I ordered it but once I received it it basically is a whole dock for your Nintendo switch and it works exactly like it I had no issues with it I was able to use my Nintendo switch on the television and everything worked perfectly fine and I didn't even have my doc with me that is the most awesome part about it so now I take it with me every trip I go unfortunately I don't have any photos I lost the phone with the photos but this device is a game changer ... show more

This tiny little gadget is all you need when you travel. You won't need the giant dock that comes with the Switch. Although you will need to have an HDMI cable, along with the charger - don't forget those. This is different than the adapter with the HDMI cable built in that you'll just plug into the TV. This is definitely much better than carrying the bulky dock for traveling purposes. And the colors are easy to distinguish that it's made for the Nintendo Switch. USB-A port is not ideal for charging things, as it's just 5V1A (5W) power. (more for extra controller, etc) USB-C port provides about 30W. HDMI output is 4K at 60 hz. They include a USB-C to USB-C cable (no HDMI though; you must provide your own) ... show more
