  • Fantastic travel wheelchair, with only one significant but livable flaw
Size: Large 12 Inch Back Wheels
Wow what a great travel wheelchair! Narrow enough to navigate nearly anywhere you'd want to go! (Except airplane aisles, which are less than 18".) We bought the one with the 12" PU back wheel, which was much better, yet still so portable / foldable. The included bag was nice, but certainly nothing I would actually use. Why carry the bag along? Here are the mods I made to the chair to make it useful for our daughter: First, the attached seat cushion is laughable! Maybe 1/2", 12mm, of padding. I can't imagine a situation where that would be enough, except for very short transfers? With that being evident from the product pictures I ordered four seat cushions to augment the product's insufficient padding. Our daughter tried all four and one stood out from the rest. (This cushion has a back cushion, as well, which we didn't need / use.) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B75KV4XN?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 She had been coming home from school (eight hours) crying in pain in her normal wheelchair, so I was very intent on getting a cushion that would be comfortable for an entire day of travel / sightseeing. We tested the added cushion for three weeks at home and she never had any pain at all. And on the trip she was able to sit in the chair with the cushion for 12 plus hours without any significant pain! So thankful! (As expected, the cushion is too thick for the chair to fold fully. But the cushion is useful if she needs to sit in an airplane seat or otherwise, so we just use it for that, and the chair folds nicely.) Second modification was to put some hot water pipe insulation from our local home improvement warehouse (1/2" I think) on the metal bar that goes across the front of the seat. If you are petite, the back of your calves / knee pit will be against that bar and it will be uncomfortable. The black foam rubber from HD taped at the ends and middle with duct tape prevents that. And it has no impact on folding. Third modification was to find a beach towel and duct tape it on top of the foot plate. She sometimes has pain in her legs when they're just on a metal foot plate. It still folds up and doesn't interfere with the chair's neat, small folded footprint. And finally, the fourth mod was to put some duct tape (handyman's secret weapon) across the foot plate mounts about halfway up to prevent her feet / legs from going back underneath the chair. (You may not need this one.) No impact on folding. OK. With those mods the chair is about perfect for her to sit in. But in use, there was one significant issue that I don't know how to mitigate. The front wheels are small, and thus bumps, small potholes, small rises, some cobblestone, and etc. cause the chair to suddenly stop. (My daughter is spastic and leans forward, exacerbating this issue by putting more weight on the front wheels.) So you have to be constantly on the lookout for a significant bump, hole, ledge, rise, etc. The solution would be bigger front wheels, but I don't know how to do that. Thankfully, it has a foot pedal next to the right rear wheel for you to lean the chair back to go over the obstacles. But a bigger front wheel would definitely be better! Also, although the chair is truly easy and quick to fold, I think I remember the product description saying it could fit in an airplane overhead bin? It wouldn't fit there on either an Air France 777 or Delta A321. But the flight crews were kind enough to place the chair in their little closet at the front of the plane. (Again, thanks to the great foldability, it easily fit in there along with other passenger odd-sized stuff.) Overall with the mods I listed above, this chair is wonderful for us! It has become our indoor chair and the chair we use for any doctor visits or other local trips or beyond. ... show more

  • Easy to use and tote around
Size: 8" PVC Casters in Rear
I really like this chair. It is easy to open and fold up - only a few steps. The chair is light-weight and comfortable too. I also like the safety features - locking brake, seat belt, arm rests lock in place. I recommend this chair for small adults (under 220 pounds and not too wide) and children.

  • Great chair for a small person
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I purchased this chair as an alternative to my daughter's bulky wheelchair. On the positive side, it is smaller and lighter. It takes less space in my car's trunk. It arrived fully assembled. It is easy to open and looks cool...not medical. My daughter is 5 feet tall and weighs 100 pounds. She fits well in it and the chair moves in a stable fashion, plus, it includes a seatbelt for added safety. I use it on a regular basis for short outings, going to the movies, concerts and the mall because it fits anywhere. On the negative side, it advertises as able to acomodate a 200 pound person. For a person to weigh that much, they would have to be a lot bigger than my daughter. I cannot see a wider person fitting in the chair and a much taller person would be totally unstable in it. The footrest is not ajustable. Therefore, the knees would be very high. Plus, pushing 200 hundred pounds on tiny wheelchair is a nightmare. My husband is 200 and there is no way he would fit in it. In conclusion, the chair is a good for a small light person, risky and unstable for a larger one. ... show more

  • Lifesaver...in a clinch
Size: 8" PVC Casters in Rear
Due to health circumstances my wife needed to use a wheel chair. Well our house is not ada certified so the bathroom doors are too narrow for the standard wheelchair. Was in a tight spot literally. So I found this transfer chair in hopes it would do the trick. Sure enough, it fits into the bathroom and is handy enough for use all over. Looks good, folds up for easy storage. Comes with a cover/ bag. Seems sturdy and well built. I'm very happy with it. ... show more

  • The lighter the person. the better
Size: 8" PVC Casters in Rear
So in theory, this travel wheelchair is great. However, it actually is not user or rider friendly. PROS: - Light Weight - Easy to fold up - Narrow fit in doorways and aisles - Was able to be used for short periods as a walker, when the lock was engaged on non-slick surface. (Doesn't handle full body weight) CONS: - The wheels in the front are small-ish and catch on every uneven surface making the rider and their safety at risk. Twice I was almost tipped off of the wheelchair when the front wheels caught. This was on all instances of any type of surface. When being pushed in a parking lot where the surface is kind of bumpy was the absolute worst, the wheelchair ramps at corners with the bumps or lines to slow you down caused the wheelchair to catch and make the rider nervous of being ejected. - The fact that the rider is at the mercy of the person pushing it, there is kind of a sitting duck mentality when there is no one to push you out of the way and such. - The foot rest is useless unless you are a child. I am 4' 10" with short legs and when I put my feet on the foot rest it felt like my knees where in my stomach. - Entering an area with a transition of any height, requires the person pushing to go in backwards to keep the rider from being jarred. I have a broken leg, and twice my boot bounced on the floor at the attempt to go over the slightest uneven surface. - I really wanted this to work well. I am under the weight limit by 50+ lbs but I felt I was still too heavy for this. The wheelchair drags on carpet. - For the person pushing the wheelchair, the handle is way to short. My husband (5' 11") and daughter (5'8") had to hunch over to push it making it very uncomfortable for them. For me, using as a walker-ish (pushing it in the locked position when maneuvering in an aisle or to the restroom) the height worked but again I am 4'10". ... show more

  • More than expected
Size: 12in Rearwwheel + 18in Seat Width
I've been using it for 3 months. From the three available options, I chose the one for adults, with small front wheels. The stroller is ideal for mom ( 5 feet 5 inches, 141 lbs). The design of the stroller is very sturdy, nothing squeaks, the stroller is maneuverable, adaptive and extremely convenient for travel as it is easy to transform. ... show more
