When the Chifenchy Compact Bluetooth Speaker arrived, I was a little disappointed. Not only was it smaller than I thought it would be, but it was very light (the size is not the manufacturer's fault, they clearly state the size on the sale page). You know how we like to have our speakers weigh heavy. In the picture, you can see it compared to one of my high end speakers size wise. But what it lacked here it more than made up for. The memory card slot is fantastic. I love putting a memory card into these without having to fool with any connections and a lot of speakers don't have that feature. I will NOT buy another speaker without a memory slot. I dropped this speaker about 5' onto a wood deck and it didn't faze it. It connects easily enough to Bluetooth and seems to have a lot of range. I was able to get about 30' from the source before I noticed any drop off. The speaker gets a little shrill at high volumes and lacks some bass but that is usually the case with any small, monoaural speakers. It lacks separation too but still sounds very good. The bass passive radiator fires out the top while the speaker itself comes out the side. Has a nice, powerful, sharp sound. It reminds me of those small speakers we used to hear in malls at these radio stores that were small but had a big sound. The lighting effect is nice and works good. The controls are fantastic and allow you to do a lot and the cover for the ports fits like a glove. They were well thought out. As stated, the speaker is small and lacks weight but it still packs a punch, and a nice one at that. A great value for the money. Very small speaker but it delivers pretty big sound. However, it doesn't give much base, if any at all. So don't expect that. ** Pairing ** It goes into pair mode as soon as you turn it on. I turned on the search on my phone and was paired very quickly. I do noticed that it takes an extra few seconds for it to reconnect after the speaker been turned off, but it is just a few seconds. ** Ports and control ** The button on the front are easy to push and use. The charging port and SD slot is covered by rubber. I think it's supposed to offer some water protection but I didn't test that function. I also tried to figure out what kind of files should be used in the SD slot but the direction didn't have that info. Since I only plan to use it as a Bluetooth speaker, it doesn't matter to me. ** Sound ** I am not a professional audio reviewer so I can only give my 2 cents. The sound is pretty loud and clear. Listened to a few top 20 songs and it is mostly fine. The clear thing I can tell is that there's not much base from this little speaker. Really, you can't expect much base from such a little speaker, but I kind of hope for some? Maybe it is unrealistic expectations. Still feel good about the purchase and what I need to use this for. I ordered this bluetooth speaker to pair with an android phone. I did actually order two as you can connect both simultaneously for more of a room filling surround sound. The speaker comes nicely boxed with a usb c cable and wrist strap. The buttons and charge port are on the back and have a smooth rubber area to press. The button layout is simple to use, durable and they have a satisfying click as you press on the rubber covered power, volume or play/pause buttons. The usb c charge port has a rubber cover that flips up to reveal a micro sd memory card slot and the usb c charging port. The top of the speaker has an ever changing led light ring. Pairing was easy to do with these speakers, after powering on, they were available to connect from my available bluetooth devices list. The sound mostly comes from the front of the speaker, with a little bass from the top port. I was actually pleasantly surprised how much clarity these speakers have at this price point. The battery life has been great so far, lasting close to the 15 hours advertised on a mid to low volume. Overall, I'd say these are decent speakers for the price. They are small enough to take with you anywhere, sound normal enough for most music and sound really good when pairing two at once. ... show more

    • Easy setup, surprisingly good sound
Got this to use with my work computer for music and meetings. This is a nice, compact size that fits easily and unobtrusively on a desk. Instructions are provided, but setup was pretty intuitive if you've used these devices before. The lights are easy to turn on/off and cycle through, but I keep mine off. Paired very quickly with my laptop. Where this thing really shines is the sound. It has an impressive volume for its size (you can hear it across a room so it would work as background noise to a party or gathering, just not dance music) and the sound is good quality as well, capturing lows, mids, and highs. And because I use this with my work computer, I love the built-in microphone so I don't need to use headphones or even change my sound output device. The box includes a charging cable (USB-C from the speaker to USB-A to your computer or power bank) and a lanyard (it's a little big for carrying on your belt or keyring). Note that this also has a microSD (TF) card slot if you don't want to run down a phone battery and a 3.5mm port (both are under a rubber flap on the back next to the charging port) for headphones if you don't want to play it out loud.
