I really enjoy this little keyboard so much. very fun and easy to use, cute design (how cool is that rainbow color design!! This is a cute, tiny, midi controller with color changing keys, and does NOT make any sound by itself, it's a controller that can send MIDI signals (over USB-C) to a computer or other MIDI device that will accept an external keyboard. There is a lot to like about it, both from a beginner (the lighted keys), and for stage use to add some flash if a small keyboard is needed (29 keys, 2+ octaves, range a few octaves up or down), plus it's got 7 chord keys that each have 3 variations depending on where you touch them (top/middle/bottom). Keys do not have pressure sensitivity, but do have acceleration detection. Be aware you need a -different- model to expand this kits key range, and the keys are small, not standard size. The only things I don't like are 1) the chord key block is barely held on by magnets and falls off if the keyboard is itself lifted, and 2) if charging/data cable is plugged in (say for use as a controller) there's no way to turn off the key lights. Unless you want to use it as a rather bright night-light, you have to unplug the cable -every time- . Seems a bit nuts. Customer support said they might change that in future designs, but for now there's no software update (or way to do it, it seems). I can't comment on the software (and app for phone or tablet) as I'm just using it as a controller. ... show more

It’s very portable and light to carry anywhere with you; the appearance is very cute, the each key changes colors when you play; wireless Bluetooth to phones, iPads and computers; works well with DAWs like garage band; sound comes out of the device you connect with; the app is fun to play with and good for beginning to learn some basic piano thing for fun; good for pros who wants to produce music or just bring outdoors for any friends social gathering. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The most important part that I missed is that it is just a Smart Keyboard but no screen or sound. I had to use my own device (a phone or tab). However, that doesn’t stop it from being a good tool for a beginner like me. I really liked the color lights which really help with learning. Also, sound from device helps as I connect a headphone to my tab and can practice without disturbing others The app has sufficient tutorials and games for practice with pleasing graphics but isn’t really the best of the apps. ... show more

My son asked for months for this keyboard, so I kept it in my cart since it was pricey, I offered to buy him a gaming console but he insisted since a friend of his have a similar and this was a total hit when he opened my gift. As he thought I forgot about it. I see it's a good quality and seems durable and has many functions I don't fully understand but he's playing daily and it's motivated to compose music too. I sat down to open this and test it out. I ended up spending a solid 3 hours playing around with it. It is quite fun. I have absolutely no music background, unless you count the violin I played in 6th grade for 2 weeks before my violin got stolen. So, this review is from a non-music trained perspective. A couple of things to note: ~The keyboard only works with the app. No sound will come from the keyboard. The sound comes from whatever device you are running the app on. I ran it on my phone, and it was pretty quiet. (Which you may want if you have kids messing around with it!) But, you could always hook your device up to a louder speaker with the headphone jack if you want to kick up the volume. ~It isn't a full size keyboard, and it says there is an extension to make it a full size piano keyboard, but I can't find the extension piece anywhere online. ~The two pieces connect by magnet. It connects just fine, but the keyboard needs a flat surface underneath it, as the magnet isn't strong enough to hold the two pieces together, like if you were trying to play it on your lap. The app has a lot of features on it, from modules to learn keys and about music theory, to fun modules that let you try to keep up with songs, or just mess around and play your thing. You can also record what you play. The learning of the keys is slow, as it should be, but I wanted to get to the fun playing. I tried to skip the learning part and just go to the fun stuff. I failed miserably. Need a lot more practice on learning the keys and proper hand motions first. I wouldn't say you can hop on it like you can on Guitar Hero and just go. You will have to put in a little work to learn a few things if piano is new to you. Overall though, for someone who puts the time in, this is a great keyboard. ... show more
