Description

It's pure bottled magic! A science experiment kit that's as much fun as a bubbly soda! Pop Bottle Science presents 79 easy, hands-on experiments that probe the worlds of chemistry, physics, biology, geology, weather, the human body, and even astronomy! It's a book and kit, all packaged in a bottle that makes a perfect miniature science lab: see-through, flexible, air-tight when necessary, made out of a durable, shatter-proof plastic and designed with a removable top that doubles as a funnel. In the kit is a lively, fully illustrated 96-page guide to astonishing and easy science experiments to perform at home with materials you have on hand. Each experiment begins with a challenge and ends with an explanation of the scientific principles involved. Kids can design a volcano and watch it erupt. Create a tornado-maker and see how twisters work. Make quicksand--is it solid or liquid? Observe photosynthesis in action. Simulate Jupiter's giant red spot, investigate buoyancy, demonstrate inertia, and discover the Bernoulli principle--which allows planes to fly. Plus, turn the bottle into a barometer, a thermometer, walkie-talkie, trombone, compass--or groovy lava lamp. Kit also contains tools for the science experiments: measuring cup, balloons, and a cork bottle stopper. Read more

  • Great science all in one
Awesome gift for child who loves science. Only needs normal household items to complete experiments.

  • Great Science
This is a great science book set. It comes with a pop bottle that has been designed to take apart. You can easily search the internet or buy the book "pop bottle biology" for directions on how to cut your own pop bottles apart. You will want to know how because you will want to do all the activities in this book and then some. If you are doing it with a classroom it would be easy to provide pop bottles for every child or a group of children in order to make it easier for each child to do their own experiments. The ideas in this book are easy to complete and are educational and fun. Enjoy and well worth the money. ... show more

  • Pop Bottle Science
Great gift for grandson. Teaches kids about science that it can be fun and interesting. You do have to provide quite a few items for the project but for the price it's worth it.

  • Perfect Gift
Amazing what all else can be used for by kid scientists…we keep this handy for repeat uses. Highly recommend.

  • Lots of fun, short experiments, easy
LOVE THIS! My 4 year old is staying with my mom this summer and we needed an activity for him to do that was easy, but will still promote learning. The activities are simple and short. Perfect for a preschooler/kindergartner. I even suggested this activity to the preschool he just graduated from.

  • Nice bud damaged
One of the clips on the bottle where it screws together was broke off, but made it work

  • Lame. There are better options out there.
This kit was disappointing to me as an adult, I can't imagine how a kid would feel. It's basically a bottle shaped container with a book of DIY stuff in it, very little else included to conduct experiments, maybe like a rubber band. I didn't inspect it too thoroughly because it was a gift. I think the choice of this gift was made by a third party, so I made sure to throw in one of those 4-M Robot kits too, the tin can cable car. If you have a science kid, get them a better gift, like a chemistry set, or one of dozens of robot kits, I've purchased four from 4-M and they don't disappoint. Skip this, I do not recommend it. ... show more

  • Awesome for a gift!
I have a brother who is a lot younger then me. So when Christmas time came around I was thinking hard on what to get him, then this popped into my mind! I had one when I was a kid and I really like giving learning/creative mind gifts, so I went for it! My brother loves it! I dont think he's been able to use it much since he is still young (5) and needs help and my mom doesn't have the time to help him. But I do know that the one activity he was able to do he still talks about it. ... show more
