The snap on the original strap was broken. I cut this replacement strap, singed the end with a small flame, and installed the new strap and hardware. No need to drill new holes. And I didn’t drop anything into the water off of the boat!

This is a well-made pontoon ladder strap with quality material. The included stainless steel snap and screw seem to be well-made as well. The strap is long enough to double fold the end for added strength.

For this steep price you would assume it was a top quality product. It is not. I installed mine on my boat ladder. The snap is so weak the just trailing it causes the snap to come undone. It doesn’t have to hold any weight. It just has to keep the ladder from sliding out. I will have remove and replace the snap. ... show more

This strap works as intended and hardware appears to be of good quality. I would recommend for your pontoon ladder if the strap begins to fray.
