The motor is silent and can lift and bear weight of 360 lbs. it is an easy assembly with only a few steps required and takes about 10 minutes without any tools. It’s covered in a high quality breathable fabric which also has wear resistant features and extremely durable. The inside is filled with high density thick soft sponge tested by the STC , designed to embrace the body. The internal structure is made of South American mothproof fumigated solid wood for longer life. It gets delivered in two separate packages so that you don’t get worried. The recliner is suitable for people from 5.1’ to 6’ tal. It’s all controlled by a handy remote control. It’s dimensions are 36”x38.5”x40” and the dimensions expanded are 36”x62”x31.5”. The covering from afar looks like it could be a suede leather look, yet it is super soft to the touch and on the skin. Has an Alloy steel frame that is sturdy and stable. There is a right side pocket that conveniently can hold your remote control to the chair and your tv remote and other things.     • Pomohome is a great choice!
I purchased the Pomohome chair for my father (101 years old) primarily for the lift function and it is serving him very well. He is able to stand & transition to his walker very efficiently & just as smoothly when he returns to the chair. As he spends the entire day & evening in the chair comfort is incredibly important & he is quite satisfied with the comfy cushions & support. He has mentioned he would like the chair to recline further as he sleeps in it thru the afternoon but it is quite possible he is not using the remote function correctly as he is visibly impaired. It would be an advantage if the arrows on the remote were raised so he could feel them (as Braille letters are) Additionally, a longer cord might also be an advantage. It is a great benefit being able to charge his Kindle from the cord as its always within reach. The dark gray color is neutral enough to fit in with his other furniture & makes a nice addition to the room. Assembly was easy but would've been easier if the directions weren't tucked away inside the chair pocket. We searched all thru the boxes but found them after it was put together when I slid his tablet into the pocket. In summary, its difficult to purchase furniture online & the choice was difficult however I am very pleased with the chair & so is Dad. It was an excellent choice & I would definitely buy it again. Delivery, on the other hand, was the worst I've experienced. The boxes were dumped in a pile of melting snow, the driver gave a quick knock on the door, hopped in his van & took off before I knew what was happening.     • Fantastic chair !
The fabric looks a lot like distressed leather, but it's a very comfortable technical cloth. It's not trying to be a fake leather, just a cloth material that looks like it - not the fake cheap-looking pseudoleather. The chair fabric is awesome and super soft and well made. You do not slip on it like you do leather. The chair is firm but extremely comfortable. It's not like a cloud where you "sink" in. but you feel very supported. The assembly is far from hard. You will not be sorry. The chair is for my grandpa who is 5'8'' and 250lb and he fits in the chair perfectly with tons of extra room. The remote also is very easy to work for someone who is older. Long cable. Easy to use. The chair comes in a big box, in two pieces. The back just slides onto the bottom part and is very easy to put together. Will take 15 minutes to get it up and running. Overall- this chair would be $1000 at the store. It's extremely nice looking, very comfortable. easy to use, great features, QUIET motor, and all-around great purchase. I would easily recommend this chair and would buy it again. I have pretty high expectation for things and judge them hard, but this chair hit it out of the park!     • Motion is smooth and quiet
The media could not be loaded. I got this chair for my mom for the new year. My mom’s legs are not that good, so she has a hard time standing up and sitting down especially in the colder weather when her arthritis flares up. I want to get her this chair first of all because of its size. My mom don’t enjoy any drinks at night so I don’t care if the recliner has cup holder or not, as long as it’s comfortable and big size. This chair is good size for my mom, who is 160lbs and 5”1 and on the heavy side. The chair is fully powered automatic, it can assist her to sit up and down easily with just a click away. The remote is simple to use with up and down button. When the recliner is moving up or down, it doesn’t make any noises. Very smooth and quiet. The leg rest is kind of short for her height. The material is what I expected. I don’t like the faux leather because it gets cold in the winter and easy to be teared up in the future. Neither do I like the microfiber fabric because it gets hot during the summer and not waterproof for spill. This material is soft and also waterproof. It didn’t get cold during last winter. My mom loves her recliner so much. She spends most of the time on the chair after dinner to relax and watches TV in her room. I think the price is affordable and this power recliner worth its price. I tend to buy helpful and meaningful things for my family rather than gifts that they enjoy at one moment. ... show more

    • Great for an aging parent
I purchased this for my 85 year old father. He didn't like the Leather like material but, it's been two weeks and he really likes it a lot. It helps him stand up, without a lot of strain on his back. It was pretty easy to put together. I gave it 4 stars on assembly because, the track on the right side of the chair that the side arm is supposed to slide into, was bent, badly. It was a factory mistake, not something UPS could've done. There was no damage to the boxes. It took a lot of force to bend the track into a usable position, but I finally got it to fit. ... show more
