First, the positive: I received an email from the seller with additional information on the nature of microfiber towels and how they differ from terry cloth towels that most people might be used to. I followed the laundering instructions (cold wash/low heat dry) and the towels came out beautifully. They are definitely thinner than terry cloth and super lightweight. I purchased the towels for camping, hoping that they would dry quickly hanging up outside. They dry very quickly in the sun, but in overcast or humid weather, they were still damp almost 24 hours later. While they won’t suit the need that I purchased them for, I’ll use them elsewhere in the house. The sizes of all three towels are very generous but they fold into a slim profile. I easily fit four sets of towels into a shallow, rectangular storage bin with plenty of room leftover. The towels dry best if you just wrap up in it or pat yourself dry. I understand the comments that some have made that they feel “rubbery.” If you rub the towels back and forth, they do have a different feel than cotton towels, but are still absorbent. Now, for the less positive: one of the hand towels binding unraveled from the towel. Not sure if it arrived this way or if it happened in the wash. I emailed the seller and they replied quickly and issued a partial refund. While I would have preferred a replacement item, they are unable to replace one item in the set. Although these towels won’t work for my particular camping needs, I’m glad that I tried something new and will still be able to use them elsewhere. ... show more

We struggled with finding towels that wouldn’t give off a ton of lint. Even purchased 2 sets that were “low lint”. Washed them in vinegar, baking soda, etc. had zero luck. Found these and figured we give them a try. Finally!…no lint. Fast drying, large, and very absorbent. We will be buying 2 more sets of these. They are not as soft as a bath towel, but it’s worth the trade off. ... show more

The towel dries very well. The only issue is that the towel ablates material when the towel is used, and leaves a lot of lint in the drier when laundered. This makes me wonder about the longevity.

    • Waffle Weave—Cotton vs. Microfiber—it’s a tie for me!

In an effort to do mini-makeovers on our bathrooms, I “redecorated” with new waffle weave towels. Ended up with cotton in the primary bath and these microfiber towels in the guest baths— I love both fabrics—the “pros” are basically the same; the differences could be consequential, depending on what you’re looking for. • All are huge—the bath towels are nearly the size of bath sheets or beach towels, and the “hand” towels are much bigger than most terry hand towels—perfect size for a head towel after shampoo. • Way more absorbent than terry! Waffle weave is definitely different from terry cloth, and some people may need a while to get used to them. I’m always up for anything new, but even my husband, who totally resists change, has adapted nicely. • Both fabrics dry, store, and launder much more efficiently than terry cloth. • They have an elegant, sophisticated look. • Differences—the cotton towels are slightly more supple and the microfiber are less expensive. So—these towels are definitely winners. If you’re looking for something slightly more luxurious feeling, go with the cotton; if you want something a little more economical, these microfiber towels are the way to go. ... show more
