The quality for the price is good, they are soft and fairly absorbent. I have washed them once and every single towel is fraying pretty significantly. I don’t know how durable they will be after time.

I was looking for a set of beige towels with a yellow/ gold tone. These come close but not quite. It is definitely too yellow for beige. I love utopia towels. They last long. And are soft, thick and absorbent.

Got a set of these (Utopia) to replace some 20+ year old towels (Cannon Royal Family) that started fading and had some minor fraying just beginning. After just a few months of using these "new" Utopia towels, there are already some loops and edges fraying that didn't show up in the older (other brand) towels for over 15 yrs. I'm disappointed with the quality of the Utopia towels. Not that fraying won't happen, just not within the 1st year of use. Perhaps it is a matter of taste, but the density of the loops in the Utopia towels are noticeably thicker and it feels like they don't dry as well. They are more "plush" feeling, but don't grab the water like the older Cannon towels. If I was mostly happy with the older towels, why replace them? Had some important house guests coming, so I wanted some fresh, new, towels. Also the Cannon wash cloths were clearly in need of replacement. Found a reputable review site that said the Utopia towels were a good value, so watched for a good price for a few months before seeing a good price. I have to say, the Utopia wash cloths ARE excellent - well, so far. As with many long term purchases. The true value of these towels cannot really be judged after just 1 yr. 10 yrs from now, we will have more real-world data for judgement. ... show more

I think that CNN or one of the daily emails that I receive raved about these towels so I decided to give them a chance. They were on sale pretty cheap and there were many colors to choose from. I was surprised to get four washcloths, that’s kind of unusual. The towels are very soft and wash up well. The towels are not annoyingly thick, they are just right. My mom uses washcloths and she really likes these because of the lack of thickness. Some luxury washcloths think that if they are extremely thick that shows how expensive they are, but in truth, I prefer these. I got one set to try out, I’m going to buy more in different colors. I usually replace my towels pretty often, probably after a year or so, and then I donate them to an area animal shelter. The last several towels I’ve been using were Martha Stewart quick dry and one of the sets changed from gray to beige after several washings. These Amazon towels are actually nicer than Martha’s, you can tell her I said so. ... show more
