Only think I would change is I'd like if they went back to the hook closure. I have a hard time depressing the plastic clasp closure to remove the strap when I'm finished. UPDATE! They have an XXXL strap, just need to look harder for it. Only available separately. Great customer service. Good quality. Only issue is that I have a somewhat large chest. 44-46 and it's a bit tight. I could not find a larger one for polar. So what are big burley men supposed to do? Give up? Not exercise?     • Looking for Accuracy, Comfort and Durability
Not a lot of options available. Need for my spin bike and this is what was recommended. It works but accuracy I have no clue. It is very comfortable and easy to wear. However the durability is terrible. This is my second one. I follow all the care instructions and am very careful with this. At minimum, spin bike twice a week for an hour or more. After approximately eight months, belt began coming apart at the prongs. Contacted Polar and they pretty much told me too bad and to buy a new one at full price. Went to Amazon for a better price. Yes, this genuine Polar strap is almost 3 times as expensive as some aftermarket straps offered on Amazon. I purchased one of those, and it did not fit Polar products as advertised. In the photo, Polar strap on top, aftermarket strap on bottom. The issue is with the wide plastic surround on the aftermarket snaps which prevent both snaps from being attached at the same time. Amazon took that one back. So not wanting to go through the returns process multiple times, I stepped up and bought this genuine Polar strap. Glad I did. Not only does the heart sensor snap easily into place, this strap has what looks like about 1/3 longer rubber signal pickup than on the original strap. The result is a signal that never acts crazy or drops out. The clasp has been changed from the hook & loop of the original to a snap-fit design that can be operated with one hand. I wish it were less expensive, but I guess you really do get what you pay for. ... show more

So, I bought this as a way to help keep my PolarH10 readings accurate. While the Polar H10 is the best chest HRM I have used in the past 25 years, you need to wash the straps every 5 hours of use. I highly recommend washing them in the laundry using cold water, this always helps keep the HRM readings from getting out of wack or just stuck at the same readings for long periods of time. So, order a few extra chest straps and rotate them. I'm in Phoenix, Arizona and using my H10 about two hours a day (running, circuit training in the garage) and so far, rotating 3 chest straps has kept the readings accurate and consistent. ... show more

    • Does not develop odor, but is VERY long!
This strap is fantastic at not developing the terrible odor the colored Polar straps do. I rinse it in water after each workout, and wash it with hand soap every third workout. I then press it dry with a ShamWow ;-) and hang it to dry. The one drawback is that the strap is SO long! My sports bra band is 34" and I have it almost doubled up on itself, resulting in the clasp being around on my back. Attaching it, I clasp it in the front, then twist it around until the sensors are centers Removing it, I pull it away from my back, and maneuver it around towards my front, to be able to undo the clasp. The clasp is a plastic piece that inserts into another plastic piece. You use pressure on that inserted piece, to pull it out of the other piece. Tricky to do behind your back. Ideally, it would be available as a shorter strap. ... show more
