I have tested several mixing and podcast boards lately, and this is my favorite of the recent bunch. It's not quite as flashy as some of them, but it sure comes with everything you need to supplement your system, especially if you're just starting out. The microphone is responsive and clear, it's awesome that you get a boom arm and a shock absorber for your microphone, and this is the only board I've tested lately that my amplifier and her speakers could actually pick up and use in a live gig effectively (!). Admittedly, I wish that were stronger, but I think with a stronger amplifier than my current equipment, this could really go the distance in that regard. As it is, it's perfect for podcasting, it's portable, the price is reasonable for what you get, and all and all, it's a win in my book! Especially for beginners! ... show more

I was surprised to find this was fully functional with the PS5, soundboard and all. I do wish the soundboard were programmable - I really don't understand why it wouldn't be, a majority of the sounds are just... not what I would want. That being said I have to be fairly close to the mic in order for it to pick up my voice - I do lean toward more soft-spoken than others, but I wouldn't exactly identify that way so much as to having be less than an inch away. The included metal arms works fine, but lacks just enough adjustment that it makes my setup a little bit awkward. For the price it's not a bad deal! Now for the damage, I do believe it is only cosmetic as it still works (there is a chance the pick up range might be a result of the damage?). The packaging is slightly thin on one side of the microphone and I am under the impression it got hit just right in shipping and bent the metal casing. Luckily it still works. ... show more
