I couldn't get the mic to work with my phone, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. There's nothing in the ad that mentions any issues with certain phones, however, in the rather poorly written User Manual, the very first sentence under "XII. Matters Needing Attention", states there are a "small number of Android phones have only charging holes." That's probably the one issue I had with the kit that irked me, at least the most. Other things that were a bit annoying were; it took over n hour to connect the laptop and phone and try to make sense of the whole set up. When I finally got everything connected, the box had a preprogrammed instrumental piece that was playing and I couldn't figure out how to disable it (other than lowering the Accompany control. Later, it disappeared, and I still have no idea how to call it up. The sound effects, once pressed, play for a defined period. For example, once you press the Applause button, it plays for 5 seconds, with no way to shorten or end it. All of the effects are the same. It would be super easy to include at least one programmable effect, but it doesn't have the option. Also, it would be nice if you could modulate some of the effects to create variants, like the "Female Voice" or "Monster Voice" could benefit from pitch adjustments. I like that external components can be connected, via the 3.5mm connector (other than my phone, which doesn't have this port), so if you have other sound effect devices, you can use them with this set up. Everything works fine with the laptop, but the phone only allowed for the bluetooth to connect for the speakers. Other issues, the reverb control does very little, other than turn the reverb fully off (until you get up to around 15 or 20% turn on the knob) or on. There's a small increase in reverb from around 20% to 100% of the knob's range. The instructions... pretty terrible. I'm not a sound engineer, but I'm pretty savvy with tech stuff. The lack of quality instructions is a major issue. The sound quality of the microphone is decent and I do like the wind and pop filters. The table or desk arm attachment is nice, so no issues there. A couple of features I think save this from an even lower rating are the Eliminate and Ducking, which work very well. Using Ducking, for example, will fade the accompanied sound, or background noise, while you narrate and it blends back in very smoothly. So, the reason I'm giving it 3 stars, and not lower, is that when I ordered this bundle, the price was $35.99. At that price, even just the microphone and arm are a decent value. I see the price is now $48.96, which really pushes into a questionable range for value. If you're in need of a an FX box with a few cute features, go for it. If you're looking for something more robust for your podcast, head elsewhere. ... show more

What I like: The included BM800 Condenser Mic is of good quality and features impressive sensitivity and clarity! I also like the included mixer board, especially the voice changer functions! The bundle came with a decent amount of accessories and the metal mic arm stand is plenty sturdy enough and offers good range of motion in terms of positioning to suit personal preferences. The earphone was a nice bonus accessory included in the package. What I don't like: I'm totally new to podcasting and I felt the setup and operational instructions were somewhat lacking for a beginner, like myself. A very nice set that was easy to set up. Of course I had a younger friend helping me so we had it set up faster then me alone. We are just beginning to play with it. A very nice way to get us started.
