The lamp socket, cord, plug and switch appear to be made of above average materials. The cord length is adequate for my use. I do not recommend installing a high wattage incandescent lamp into the lamp socket. I recommend using LED lamps.

Great value for both cords. I wish the cord would have been longer, since I have 8feet ceilings, but it's apparently hard to find. Right now, I hang a lamp that comes 20 inches off the ceiling, then have the cord on a little trail on the ceiling, before reaching the wall, the cord goes to 2/3 of the wall, so I have it plugged on an extension cord, which starts 1/3 of the wall from the floor. This almost started a fire in my home!! All I did was put a light bulb in and turn it on.. it started sparking and smoking and scared the daylights out of me and my dog! Luckily it didn’t affect the outlet, as I grabbing the wire and pulled it out of the wall, burning my finger. This certainly could’ve been much worse! Don’t risk it!! ... show more
