Delivered quickly. Well packaged. Easy to set up, just unfold the arms, move some of the dangly pieces back to where they should be. I'm using it in an unusual spot, in outside gazebo, so it is a funky addition to the space. Lighting is effective. Very sparkly! I love it!

Of course, the little crystals are made of plastic, but from a distance, they manage to look good, realistic. I have some experience installing light fixtures, so it wasn't too much trouble to install. If you have no experience with this sort of thing, you might have some trouble. Got this for my bathroom. I works well and looks as pictured. Super easy to put together you just open the 3 arms and move the crystals. I used the night light bulbs to make them not as bright. Would buy again and would recommend.

This is in no way comparable to an actual crystal chandelier, no matter how the description 'fluffs' it up. The 'crystals' are dull and lifeless and slightly scratched. If you want a crystal chandelier, buy one made of glass that you have to hope comes in undamaged (haha... Good luck) and you need skills to assemble, which takes away least an hour if you're real good. But there is no comparison. If you know what a real crystal chandelier looks like, you will not be satisfied with this, you will be disappointed. It looks plastic-y and cheap. So why 5 stars? Because if you're prepared for this reality, under certain applications this is a great unit. The photo shoot, salon, outdoor wedding reception, shoe closet - all great uses for this. Take it out of the box, open it up, connect some crystals, add bulbs, plug it in and BOOM! Instant glam for less than 15 minutes work including opening the box. But don't expect Schonbeck or Swarovski. This is not quality enough to go over your clawfoot tub (ahem). I've attached a photo of how it looks from underneath looking up, because that's important. I've also attached a photo of a glass smoked color unit i bought and will be using instead after i receive replacement parts for ones broken in transit. However, because my cowgirl boot closet would benefit from a chandelier, I won't be returning this ;) ... show more

This was the best part of my apartment bedroom for the first 1.5 years since I first bought it. Then about 6 months ago, the insulation on the power cord looked cracked - I was going to just wrap with electrical tape, but the day after I bought the tape, the cord suddenly started sparking, then a loud POP and the cord completely separated from the plug, which was still plugged into the wall partially melted! I am so thankful we were home when it happened! My husband quickly grabbed a rubber oven Mitt and bravely pulled it from the wal before it started a fire or melted completely into the outlet...we rent, and that would have been massively expensive! Since then I've been looking for a way to repair it. My dad gave me a replacement plug, and I thought that was the answer but no matter how carefully I matched the hot and neutral wires, making sure not to let them touch each other, the moment I plugged it in there were loud sparks again. After nearly electrocuting myself and my room, I gave up. But it's still hanging up, because I LOVED THIS CHANDELIER DARNIT! My apartment bedroom has no overhead lighting however, so I am stuck for now using my dinky little $10 walmart upright lamp from my college days 8 years ago - go figure that's the lamp that lasts the longest, and through 4 moves too! I still have the gypsy chandelier hanging up, attached to nothing, hoping I will come across a way to fix it one day :( the price seemed really reasonable on initial purchase, but if it's not going to last more than a year and half I can't justify buying a replacement. There's not even enough cord left past the on/off switch to try another replacement plug (which I sadly discovered AFTER buying one on Amazon for 8 bucks! Should have gone to home depot instead). Now everytime I look at it I just feel depressed :/ It was such a cool chandelier while it worked. I wish there was a way to just replace the whole cord. I considered the conversion kit they sell, but I'm not sure that would even work, and I just can't afford to keep throwing away money and risking burning down my apartment or getting electrocuted trying to fix it. What really sucks is that when I bought it I rationalized spending over my budget by assuming if the $10 lamp lasts this long, surely the chandelier would last over a decade! Sadly that was a 100% incorrect assumption :( So, now what? ... show more
