I purchased this because I am staying out of stores during Covid. Working on a hand embroidery project and just came to the part that I wanted to be black. It is too thick for my needle eye. Each single thread splits. I am going to return this.

This floss gets the job done, but its very prone to curling up and fraying and doesn't smoothly glide through aida fabric. Compared to DMC, this is a lower quality brand. It's suitable for making friendship bracelets, but is not up to snuff for needlework.

I use this floss for embroidery, and these are okay and convenient but definitely not the quality I get in the store. Several skeins are frayed and “fuzzy” (damaged), and while I can make it work but cutting off the damaged spots, it’s a bit of a pain. I used these to embroider a few totes. Good thread. I did find that one of the skeins had a single knot in it where they tied two ends together, however I've wrapped most of the skeins onto bobbins and that was the only flaw I found so far. Decent thread, great price.

I use this for thread wrapping, not for embroidery. So I can't say how it holds up when the strands are separated. But for thread wrapping, it's perfect. No fuss, no frizz---just silky strands. The price is very low- but be prepared to spend a lot of time trying to thread your needle with this! Guess we get what we pay for! A reason to pay more for DMC floss!
