Just transferred a bunch of suits and dress shirts that have been in my closet for a few years. They were in plastic covers from the company where I purchased the suits. This plastic did not wear well and had tears. Dust also got into my suits and dress shirts. These new garment bags look far more durable and have a plastic lip at the top that will help with dust getting into them. I am not sure what I was expecting, but I needed a couple of hanging/traveling bags for some jackets. Unable to find any locally (which was weird on its own), I ordered these, as they were the most reasonable price for a smaller quantity. I received them, and they are nice enough -- they feel almost like paper but also have some plastic feel too. Very weird but not a big issue. The size was right for the simple jackets that I wanted to protect in storage, and they have a small window to see/guess the contents (I am not fond of this, but it is all that there seems to be anymore). Overall, I would say they are great for storage in closets, and maybe some light travel, but I will have to see how well they stand up to the test of time. ... show more

Seemingly always a shortage of garment bags, finding a prized suit with moth damage hanging limply in my closet, decided all suits, sport jackets and ties must be protected from at least the hazards of dust and insects.
