The windows were a little difficult for my 4 yo to open on his own. I didn’t mind, that way he had to have help from an older sibling or me. The parts are durable and fun. Overall definitely would gift this or get a different version next year.

Be aware if you buy this product in the United States that the writing on it is German… I’m going to keep it for my seven-year-old grandson anyway because he loves pirates and won’t care about the writing since he’s just learning to read anyway… but I don’t like being deceived.
