Reviewing GUTSHOT Playing Cards, Waterproof Deck of Cards, We like to play cards in this house, and we are always looking for more because they wear out quickly. We have someone who can’t help but bend the cards when shuffling. What can you do, other than get rid of the ones that are bent too much to be easy to handle, and order new decks? These cards are nice because they come with two decks and there’s a case to put them up in for storage. It’s a cardboard case, but it’s thick cardboard and has a magnetic closure that works well, and is a great way to keep them safe and dust free while you’re not using them. They have a nice plastic coating (or maybe they are plastic all the way through-I’m not sure), so they are easy to wipe clean, you don’t have to worry about them getting ruined by getting wet. They are durable and thin paper stock. They’re large print, and the set I ordered has one green deck and one yellow deck. The green is close to the green in the green and white peppermint candies, and the yellow is sort of a burnt yellow. Together, they look like the linoleum kitchen floors from the 70s. Very retro. It’s a great set. They are a little pricey, but I’m not going to remove stars because they are more durable than grocery store cards and the storage case is a nice feature. ... show more

    • Love the colors
It's nice to have playing cards that aren't just the typical blue and red that are so iconic. The cards themselves are quite well made. They're easy to shuffle by hand and feel as though they will stand up to the test of time far better than a cheap deck. I don't usually play cards often but I did get a sweet poker set recently. I thought some cards with a different look to them would help to complete my set. It's always nice to be a little different and the green along with yellow helped do just that. Two fellow poker night companions said how nice it was to deviate from typical deck cars colors and asked where I got these. ... show more

As far as waterproof cards go, these are fairly decent. Not the highest quality one's I've come across, but they seem to hold up well. The color and design are simple yet seem well done. The first thing to know about these cards is that they are made of all plastic. There is a fine crisscross pattern on the colored side that gives them a texture and feel of standard playing cards. They don't really feel like plastic. The shuffle beautifully: like a set of cards that are new enough to have no creases, but old enough to fold in together perfectly. The numbers and face cards are an older style: they feel very classic, while still being easy to read. I like the unique colors (green and yellow), and this color variation actually words quite well, since my family enjoys playing the card game Nertz which requires different card backs. Yellow and Green are pretty unique: I have several decks already in red and blue. So this is a good mix. All in all, I'm very pleased. Great double deck! And the box they came in has a nice magnetized shutting mechanism which will help them all to stay nice and neat inside. ... show more

    • High elasticity - will last
I'm used to kem cards and recently realized that my deck was missing a few cards... So I needed a new deck and chose this also dual deck solution as a replacement. I can say that they feel like they have a great elasticity to them... you can fan them easily in your hands or on a felt tabletop. Also they spring from one hand to the other well. Easy to cut with one hand... And it's also great that this deck comes with a burn card... I love that. Great set and I'd recommend to others. ... show more

These cards are in fact waterproof, which is cool. Haven't used them in a setting where water was expected yet, but we did have someone spill their cup of water on some cards at our game table. Thankfully after drying them off they were like new. They are definitely slippery compared to traditional paper cards, but they have a texture on the back of the cards that help to hold onto them. They stack well enough (tried 2 decks), but the top card or two may slide/float a bit. Overall these are great though, I love them. ... show more

Ok, I like the box with the magnetic lid. This is the selling point for me. The cards themselves are plastic with a bit of texture to them. They are not thinner than most cards. They shuffle nicely.
