    • Lots of narrow, 1x pieces. Great color scheme. Good quality.
This was one of three 1000 piece off-brand brick sets that we've purchased this month. They were all very similarly priced. We bought this one specifically for the color selection. In addition to normal play, we're using the bricks to review colors and numbers with my 2.5 year old. This set introduces aqua and magenta for us. If I'm not mistaken, the name brand has a Friends collection that matches this color scheme. This bag includes magenta, pink, purple, grey, blue, aqua, orange, white and tan pieces. I hope I haven't left any colors out. My son already mixed them in with our existing bricks. They're very fun and vibrant colors. The pieces are good quality and lock into each other solidly. This was our least favorite of the 3 sets. I didn't count out the pieces, but it appears that almost half of the 1000 or so pieces are the narrower 1x bricks. That includes from 1x1 through 1x8. So, it's not all the single dots, but it's definitely higher volume of narrower bricks than the other 2 sets we bought. I didn't knock any stars off specifically for that, since I recognize that may be a plus for some people. The other thing that I disliked is the packaging. While the other 2 sets that we received were sorted, in some manner, into smaller bags within the package, this was just a single plastic bag ready to be cut open and dumped out. The one star reduction was basically because I felt there were better values for the price. The other 2 sets were better packaged and both contained a few special shaped bricks. This one did not.     • Life saver!
I work in the mental health field with children. One stated that he wanted legos to play with Legos during session. Since I had never purchased one piece of legos before, I asked myself "how much can they be?" and promised to purchase some for the client. He informed me that COLOR is majorly important. Noted! As I researched the price of legos, I quickly realized that they are not as economical as I had believed. The amount of pieces for the cost didn't seem to add up. I mean, they're plastic pieces for crying out loud! Luckily, Amazon has they're little "you may also like...." at the bottom of the page. I saw these blocks and instantly thought WOO HOO! What's even better is that the client loved the colors. He was impressed with the brown and did not realize that they weren't "true" legos. Way to pull the wool over his eyes! Lol! Also, my granddaughter brought over her legos and there was no problem fitting the two together. In fact, it was more difficult pulling them apart. They have a wonderful connection with legos! The pieces are small. The con is that there is no storage that comes with these pieces so you'll have to create your own. I'm using 2 ziploc freezer bags for now. Color: 1,100 Piece - Regular Colors
My 5yr old son received this for Xmas and he dove right into playing with. What we like about this set (compared to branded Lego Classic big brick boxes/sets) was that it has many large bricks. The bricks attach very well to each other (and to other Lego bricks and figurines). Overall we are very satisfied with the quality and the variety of the pieces. Important note - the purpose of this set is to complement other sets of Legos (or compatible pieces). Regarding contents - this set does NOT include figurines, base plates, or steering wheels (but there are wheels and axles for building basic cars - just that the steering wheel part is missing). Also, even though there are many good sized bricks (of many lengths), the width for all is either 1 or 2 dots. We knew exactly what was included in the set when we ordered and we were not disappointed. We have plenty of figurines, base plates, steering wheels, and other parts from specialized Lego sets. ... show more

    • Missing several pieces and not evenly distributed
I ordered the 500 piece pack. I sorted out the pieces by shape and color to make sure they were evenly distributed and contained all pieces. I only received 475 total pieces. They were not evenly distributed by either color or shape. I am hoping the distributor corrects this, and offers to send the missing items. I recieved the following: 52 red, 42 orange 47 yellow, 50 green, 46 grey, 50 black, 42 brown, 48 blue, 46 purple, 50 white. The only sizes that were evenly distributed were 2x10, 2x8 (1 ea color), 1x6, 1x8, 1x4, 1x3 (2 each color), 1x2 (10 each color) and 2x2x1 (2 each color). The remaining sizes were all ranging between 4-8 pieces of each color. I specifically chose this listing because of the description that said it came with an even amount of each size and color, and had a bigger variety than other listings as far as color and sizes. With so many choices available for bulk legos at a lower price, I'm pretty disappointed that the package didnt end up being as described. ... show more

These bricks work very well with Lego bricks, lego bases, or other brands bases. The colors are beautiful and the quality is great. We have bought this pastel color bricks twice already in the past month and the only problem we have is that we never have enough. My 2.5 years old daughter spends more time playing with these bricks longer than anything else. ... show more
