This was a very easiest tool to set planner blades that I have ever used. I sharpen and reset my blades more often and they last longer that way.

    • Do not work as you think
I restore and use very old machines I have restored. These do make installing planner blades easier but they are not high quality. First thing to realize is there dials are useless. There is no way to calibrate them to zero so that match. It is just a sticker attached to the dial. If you could zero them out so both would match it would be great tool. ... show more

    • Good Product...
These were a little hard to get the blade aligned on my planer... When you put your blades on with these items you should double and triple check to make sure they're where they're supposed to be

    • Useless for Grizzly, Enco planers
Although these are clones of Grizzly brand setting jigs, these types of jigs CANNOT be used on Grizzly, Enco, and other similar planers. The jigs are too tall to fit under the pressure bar, and the pressure bar cannot be removed with the knives installed in the cutter head. You will have to purchase "Planer Pal" type setting jigs if you need to set knives on Grizzly, Enco, and clones. ... show more

    • Inaccurate
I tried using these to setup jointer blades. As I twisted the adjustment thumb screw I noticed that the magnet tip that holds the blades in place would wobble. I tried loosening the tip and getting it square to the shaft but gave up.
