Yes, body type matters, and material matters -- note that this is 95% viscose (kind of a semi-synthetic rayon), so the texture and feel is different than you might expect from what seems like it's going to be kind of a t-shirt. If you have the body type of the model pictured in the main photo here, this is a good choice for you! A lot of us don't, however... one key thing to mention is that vertical-line-patterned band along the waistline, where it's no longer the waffle pattern. It's tapered a bit from the shirt itself, although it doesn't exactly look like it in the model photo. So, for instance, if your belly area wants to push out a little bit, the shirt pushes out with it, but the band along the bottom doesn't. Almost like it's tucked in. Now, others have mentioned that it's too roomy in the belly area (this would be the more "athletic" fella, or to assuage my ego I can just say "emaciated" :) )... I also am not ripped, so the shoulder area has more give than I might want. Everything else seems to fit nicely, and the size ordered was the expected size. So, pay attention to the vertical-stripe bands at the waist, neck and arms, and of course the waffle pattern. I've decided this isn't the style for me as a shirt by itself, but layered underneath a button-down shirt, the texture actually gives a nice contrast. I'm really happy with this shirt. The material feels great and its very comfortable. It really looks nice and honestly much more expensive looking than it is. The fabric breaths well and color is great too. I ordered a size large and it is a little big on me, not a problem for me because I don't mind it being a little oversized. If you want a tighter fit I would size down. This shirt looks great with a nice pair of jeans or slacks and it's perfect for spring/summer weather. 10 out of 10! ... show more

I decided to give this shirt a shot based on the photos, but can't recommend it. The viscose blend fabric is soft as you would expect, and comes out of the wash looking great and ready to wear. Unfortunately, the cut of the shirt doesn't work for me. I ordered a large based on the size chart (42" chest), and indeed it fits well through the chest and the shoulders. But even with some minor shrinkage after washing it doesn't taper much below the chest, which makes it appear boxy and loose around the midsection on an athletic physique. The sleeves are a bit long, and don't have as pronounced of a binding or banding as it appears in the photos. The collar is also tighter than I prefer, and the sewn-in tag is annoying unless/until removed. And the color is more washed out than I expected: the "coffee" that looked fairly dark in the pictures might be better described as "milk chocolate" or "coffee and cream." So my issues are with the design rather than the construction; the bottom line is that this shirt was just not styled as I had hoped. ... show more

Comfortable and moves well... I was looking for some casual tees and tried this one out. Here's what I like: - Overall, the material rides well allowing it to be comfortable. - It breathes well. - The color acurately matches the product description - I'm a fan of this earthy color. - It is machine washable - just need to coordinate colors. Some comments... - Do not tumble dry. - The stitching is pretty average, and the seams ride directly on skin. As long as the lay is casual, it should be okay. If you wear a backpack or something sinched down, you'll feel the seams. - I'm a bit in-between sizes (M-L) so opted for the large. The neck is perfect but the shoulders are a bit wide. I think the ideal frame is someone who "sculpted", which I am not. It's still a comfortable tee though. If it shrinks a bit, it'll be perfect. Overall, this is a comfortable tee, and I like the looks. For casual use only... ... show more

It is a nice T-shirt and fits perfectly. I like the material of the shirt which is really flexible and fits to my size. I like the color of the shirt and has a nice feel to it. The shirt felt a little heavy initially but got used to it. The shoulders and chest are correct fit, but the length is a bit longer than my other shirts of the same size. I washed it couple of times and seems to be holding well without the shrinkage. Overall, it is a pretty nice shirt and is priced good for the value. ... show more

I use this shirt as an undershirt beneath my flannel shirt when working outside. It is comfortable add a little bit of warmth and wicks the sweat away. It isn’t spring or summer here yet, so I’m not sure if I’ll wear it as a T-shirt in the warmer weather, but if it holds up well numerous washing, I surely will.
