Top Amazon Reviews

  • Underdog winner for sure
I very rarely review products, but given the short history this company has and my experience, I felt it necessary to review this PX7 Prime monitor. As the lowest priced monitor with the specs listed, this was a mixed feeling going into the purchase. I hadn't heard of Pixio until I started actively searching for monitors, but at the price point below even the budget Asus monitors, I looked into it. The stats on the monitors were excellent for how they were priced, but I wasn't sure if that was the right move or not. I gambled on it and ordered 3 to replace my aging 23" Dell work monitors, knowing I'd be using these for gaming as well. First off, the order came in about a week earlier than indicated, which was awesome. I've been working remote, so an early arrival wasn't an issue. Just remember to check your shipping information (mine were sent FedEx) and tracking. The shipping company is going to be the best bet over the Amazon tracking. They arrived with only some minor damage in the outer box. They were shipping in a "shell" box over the nice, red consumer-friendly box, so that didn't bother me. I still verified the main boxes were damage free before opening them. I tested each monitor individually, on all 3 ports (both DisplayPorts and the single HDMI) before I proceeded with keeping them. They checked out great (no dead pixels), so I went ahead and mounted them. Running them on my home machine, I was blown away. Now, keep in mind, I'm hardly a professional gamer, merely an avid dabbler, nor am I a graphic designer. However, when it comes to my experience compared to Xbox and PC gaming on a 4K TV, going to the smaller 27" 1440 monitor was an upgrade. The refresh rate of 165hz makes things insanely clear and fluid, and yes, the Steam FPS counter did confirm that it can hit 165 FPS (tapped it a few times in GTA V and Skyrim). For comparisons, I'm running an EVGA RTX 2080 Ti Black Edition with an i9-9900k, so your mileage may vary. On my work laptop, text is clearer, WAY more real estate than before, and the color/brightness is certainly improved over my old monitors. If there's one gripe, it's brightness. It's VERY bright, to the point I had to drop it down to 50 on the monitors, just to keep eye strain down. That's something I can adjust, so I'm not knocking any stars for that. Either way, if you're considering a Pixio product, and especially the PX7 Prime, know that you're getting an outstanding product for the money. It's only been a few days since I've had these, but no dead pixels and no issues thus far. P.S. KEEP THE BOX THE MONITOR CAME IN!!! If there's a need for service, shipping back in the original box assures safe transport. ... show more

  • 27 inch 1080p 144hz with excellent pixel density
Coming from the legendary dell UltraSharp 2408WFP 24-inch ips Monitor which had 3000:1 contrast ratio and 400 cd/m² brightness@ 1920x1200 60hz, my expectations for image quality are pretty high. The Dell monitor came out in 2008 and was starting to show its age with a burn line on the left side of the screen plus some dead pixels, it was time to upgrade. I've always wanted a 140hz monitor but never had the opportunity to try one. After much research and watching gamers nexus and hardware unboxed youtube reviews I was torn between this and the lg 27GL650F-B ips for $250. I game at 1080p and only play Project Reality. This monitor has exceptional image quality and being a 27" 1080p monitor I don't notice any dramatically large pixelation of images. Its very much on par with a 24 in monitor in terms of pixel density. The blacks are excellent and I was able to achieve very similar color to my dell 2408WFP which is not an easy accomplishment. Freesync works perfectly with my 1060 6gb. I can tell it works because I can turn the menu on in the monitor and it will refresh at different hz to match my fps in game. In PR I get about 102fps max. I need to get a better video card to really max out this monitor but for now its fine. I love the menu. The single joystick button to navigate the menu is really convenient and the ui is excellent. Pixio is a Japanese company and this monitor uses a Samsung LSM270HP06 VA 250nits LCD panel. The stand doesn't height adjust but I will trade height adjust for a small footprint any day. It barely takes up any room on my desk and I can prop my razer barracuda keyboard right up to it and it overlaps the base of the stand perfectly when I have the feet on the keyboard deployed. I can't believe I paid $189 for this monitor. I couldn't recommend this monitor more. Its so nice and the bezels are really thin. The brightness is perfect. I wouldn't go any brighter. I run the brightness at around 80% BTW. The curve of the panel doesn't annoy me at all. I kinda like it. I don't know what else to say. Comes with a 2 year warranty which beats competitors 1 year warranties. Its one of Pixios newest monitors and they've come a long way. Pixio did an amazing job! 5 stars! ... show more

  • Amazing monitor for the price!
This monitor can play my PS5 games at 1440p at 120hz without hdmi 2.1. That is absolutely amazing!! It’s nice to have such a great monitor that doesn’t break the bank!! The color is amazing, the performance is smooth, and pixel ratio is perfect!!
