I bought this because the only review at the time was so glowing. The device looked beautiful, really nice, and I was able to get in and begin the setup. That's when things got buggy. The fingerprint sensor didn't work at all. I spent at least an hour troubleshooting that, looking up tips online, resetting the device, carefully wiping the screen. Gave up on that, thinking I'd get back to it later. Then a few random reboots while I explored the settings to see if an update would help. "No updates available.." Then more random reboots before I got anywhere. They became more frequent, and then the screen would go black. I did a factory reset, still the same. This was likely a motherboard issue, never mind the fingerprint reader not showing up on the screen. The fact that such rubbish could get past the quality control of whoever "refurbished" it gave me no confidence in trusting that another device from the seller would be much better. I wasted HOURS trying to figure out what was going on. Ultimately I decided on a Pixel 8 from the Amazon "renewed" store for a bit more money... and I will definitely make sure it can do everything it's supposed to do before the return window expires! I think some of these sellers count on people not finding out what's wrong until it's too late. ... show more

I think the more expensive the better, although I don't know why, but this phone meets all my needs and more. It amazes me how powerful this phone is and how good the display is. This is important to me. Nice phone.
