After using a Pitaka case with my iPhone X for 3 years, along with the MagEz Mount Qi (both products which I loved by the way), I figured it'd only make sense to get another Pitaka case to go along with my new iPhone 12 Pro. So, I went ahead and ordered the Pitaka MagEZ Case for the iPhone 12 Pro. Once it arrived, I put it on and the first thing I said was "Ouch!" The lip around the edge of the case is about a millimeter or so above the screen and it is sharp. When viewing the side profile pictures of the case on Amazon, as well as on the Pitaka site, they show no raised lip at all. See attached pics for comparisons and you'll see what I mean. (Also, mine had a little scratch on the upper right that you can't really see, but you sure can feel it.) As for the positives of the case... It's thin, has a simple design, and has a good grip on it. Plus, the magnets in the back so it can be used with the Mount Qi. Overall, I have to say I'm quite disappointed with this case. The overly sharp raised lip, which I did not expect, is just too off-putting for me to enjoy this case on a daily basis. Couple all this together with its premium price point, 'ouch' again. Perhaps it's an older model using the wrong dimensions, but I doubt that's the case. ... show more

I have been using PITAKA cases for more than 4 years. I’ve had many different brands over the years, but this is my favorite. It doesn’t add bulk. It does add grip, and it includes the plate for magnetic mounts. It just looks professional. Great product!

    • If you need a thin case

I have a strong dislike of cases that cover up the buttons on my phone, which pretty much leaves cases of a similar thickness to this Pitaka case. It is not exceptionally grippy, but has a nice texture in the hand, and is certainly less likely to slip out of your hand than a naked iPhone. The sides are straight, rather than being curved, which complements the 'glass slab' design of the iPhone 12 Pro nicely. I also admire how rigid the case is; there is no flexing of the case as you might get with a silicon option. I've encountered no issues using it with an Anker wireless charger. Could it be cheaper? Sure. I also wish that the color choices were a bit more varied or that the other color options were a bit more attractive. Other than that, if you are looking for minimal protection for your phone with a bit of grip, this case is a more-than-fine option. ... show more

I have used only Pitaka cases for my last 5 phones. They truly make the lightest, sturdiest and best designed cases -until now. I bought their latest case for the iPhone 12 Pro and noticed right away that there is a small lip around the edge. Now I understand that is to protect the screen of the phone but in past designs it's fit much more snugly and been very close to flush. This latest design is noticeably less fitted and you feel it when you are using swiping motions for things such as browsing or gaming. This is annoying but still not a deal breaker. The real issue is that that little lip also overhands enough to trap larger particles than typical dust (sand/dirt). It's been 2 months since my purchase and the edge of my phone is now scratched up from all the dirt that has shifted around inside that little lip. Very sad since my 12 pro has a beautiful silver finish. Very disappointed in Pitaka on this one. They have been batting 1000 up until this point. I cannot recommend this case to anyone. Update- Pitaka did reach out to me to express their concern and said they’d look into the Amazon purchase but never followed up. Also added a photo to better show the issue. ... show more

This is my 2nd Pitaka case. 1st was for iPhone X. Trust me when I tell you I never thought I'd spend $50 on a case. Usually I order several of the $10 ones to try and settle on one. This case is worth every penny. If you are looking for super thin that still provides excellent protection I highly recommend it. The built in magnet system is awesome for mounting in my car and elsewhere. I get it's hard to trust some rando on the internet but if I could show you the number of cases I've tried over the years you'd know this one is legit. ... show more

I was a little hesitant to buy this because of the price and the minimal protection..... or so I thought. This case is by far my favorite case I have ever had. It looks great and feels great. I recently got the iPhone 12pro and I didn’t want bulkiness but also wanted protection. Which sometimes is hard to find, But this case does both. It's great if you like the feeling of razor blades cutting your hand. It has a lip that rises above the phone slightly and it is so super thin that its almost like a knife blade on both sides of the phone. I don't understand how anyone would like this case.
