  • Great Media Player.
I have 2 of these and they have performed perfectly from day 1. I use them every weekend and they are exactly what I was looking for. I love the SD Card Slot, I am able to leave the card in all the time. Easy to set up and use, I will probably add a third and fourth player soon.

  • Pioneer DJ you rule!!! unfortunately you have disappointed plenty SERATO DJs with this NEXUS-Serato downgrade from CDJ2000 decks
Pioneer!!! On the dark side of things... What is the deal with you not fully supporting Serato SL 2/ SL3/ SL4 like you did with the previous CDJ2000 Gen. 1 decks? Pioneer Support was never able to provide a straight answer as to why and even after several postings on their site they ended up closing further posts about the SERATO issue. For starters the firmware dropped back down to Version 1.2, why did PIONEER DJ drop from 4.11 to 1.2? this makes the use of any version of Serato a nightmare. Serato users... get ready for some serious playback issues, even when running Serato Code CDs (Oh, and Serato Cue points that used to work with the former CDJ2000s will not work with the CDJ2000 Nexus). Why? Only a higher power will know, Pioneer support doesn't. NO HID Support for Serato!!! On the bright side of things... Yes, the decks are a $2,000.00USD marble and they do deliver good looks and continue to have that solid PIONEER CDJ2000 build (HARDWARE-WISE). If you currently use Pioneer's ReKordBox then you are in heaven as these decks are MAINLY DESIGNED TO WORK WITH REKORDBOX ONLY!!! Serato will be a NO GO with these players. Since I have been a SERATO user from day ONE and have taken quality time to build all of my cue points and SERATO Skills... I will NEVER kick SERATO good bye to just start all over by switching to RekordBox which turns out to be unstable at times (Yes... it just takes that one freeze to kill the dance floor) Given the lack of PIONEER's support for SERATO and many other ongoing issues with these CDJ2000 Nexus players I was able to return them for a full refund. > > > These CDJs DO NOT have a built-in wireless radio, like many people had thought < < < The good news!!! I went ahead and purchased a brand new pair of PIONEER CDJ2000s Gen 1, YES! SERATO is back to normal with FULL CONTROL (HID). Also, all Cue Points are functional and I was able to get back on track with my DJ events!!! ... show more

  • They deleted all the reviews
I'm giving this product a one star for multiple reasons. firstly, they deleted mine and many others who had left 3-4 star reviews. What are they trying to hide? I'll tell you... See below and check out the pioneerdj forums if you question my validity.. First off, they must have created another product page for the CDJ-2000 Nexus units because I left a review when I bought them nearly a year ago. Whatever, I'll tell you why I've given this device a one star rating. The players are solid and built well. They do what they are designed to do and do it well. So why the poor rating? Well, first off these units are nearly dependent upon using the RekordBox application that Pioneer forces you to use, assuming you want to see the wave form of any MP3 or MP4 song. One of the main features of these decks is to use the waveform feature so you will know when the high points and low points of the song are coming up (for fading/mixing). If you own/buy these decks you have no other choice but to use the Rekordbox application to save the waveform information and view it on the players. That would normally not be such a big deal but here's the problem. Rekordbox (in it's current state 7/30/2013) absolutely sucks! If you check out Pioneer's forums you will see the community is outraged by this garbage they call software. All user reported bugs/issues/feature requests seem to be ignored and if this application does receive an update it's usually every 6 months with NONE of the community requested features. The program often crashes and Pioneer can't provide much support since they don't make the software. Really? You force your customers to use a piece of junk application that you have little control over and can't provide adequate support for? MixVibes makes Rekordbox for Pioneer and it's apparent that the Pioneer community is looking for basic features that aren't being properly communicated to the people at MixVibes. When you address your complaint to Pioneer support they close your thread and say they will make a note of it. These would be 5-star devices if you weren't forced into using such a horrendous application that Pioneer has no intentions of supporting. Can you imagine buying an ipad/iphone and being forced to use iTunes which in turn is made by a company on the other side of the globe and they can't fix the bugs or implement new features? I don't think Apple would be as huge as they are if they went this route. Unless someone finds a way to "jailbreak" these units so you can utilize them to their full potential and without having to rely on Rekordbox I'd use extreme caution before buying them. Here's my advice, download Rekordbox from Pioneers website (free download). Try using the program, converting mp3 files, etc. and see if this is something you want to deal with on a daily basis. That should help you decide if you want to drop money on these or a used car. ... show more

  • Overrated and over priced
Pitch resolution on Wide is too low to be particularly useful and the jog bend dead zone is counter-intuitive. They need to add a 32% pitch range with 0.1 increments and lighting up the 6, 10, and 16% indicators simultaneously. There shouldn't even BE a jog bend dead zone. The most tiny jog bend should correspond to the most tiny actual track bend. And at least let people turn off the BPM counter and moving waveform. Too much automated garbage and visualizing gimmicks added for lazy DJs so they can up the price. Pioneer's biggest claim to fame are the reliable buttons, the perfect Link feature, nice DACs, and bit perfect CDJ processing at zero pitch. ... show more

  • The Industry Standard
This thing is a beast. I used to have CDJ 800s in the past and these are far better in every way. The link, traffic light, record box, and hooking up USB stick is fantastic. They are great players, but before you purchase a pair of these, think about getting the 900s or 850s. About half of the clubs I spin at are still using 1000MKIIIs or 900s. ... show more

  • Great product
Once you get around the fact that the sync master button exists, that is. The added looping features do extend your creativity I've found. The platter seems slightly more sticky than my regular Cdj2000's, but you get used to that after a while. I like the rougher surface they've added on the needle search ribbon strip as well. ... show more
