These shorts are really comfortable and the elastic waistband is great. Upon trying them on for the first time, I went to put my hands in my pockets, and couldn't. I am so used to pockets that you enter more from the side that I actually thought to myself, "there's no way these don't have pockets, right." Sure enough, you have to come in almost perfectly vertical, odd. The material almost has a swimsuit feel. These shorts are stretchy everywhere, not just the waistband, making them great for anything active. I took them out on the golf course and they were so comfortable. Light and never hindering my swing. It did, however, take many holes to get used to the pockets every time I went to pull out a tee. Got these shorts recently, and tried them out. They are well-made and the material is good for active pursuits - lightweight and quick-drying, but for me the fit is a little odd. I'm tall and have a 38" waist so my experience might not be like everyones, but for me the legs are too short and the cut around the waist is bunchy. The inside waist has a rubberized section that is meant to keep the material in place, for better or worse. Personally I'd rather just wear a belt. ... show more

I ordered these for work as I work outside in the heat and wanted to try and stay a little bit cooler. The shorts are soft and very lightweight compared to the cargo shorts I was wearing. They have a little stretch to them but not a whole lot which is nice. The Navy blue is a nice color as well. The only thing I find odd is the front pockets. They are more of a blue jeans style opening, it's facing upwards with a circular opening vs a side entrance and slash cut like most shorts I've worn. Also the opening is rather small, my hand is not super big but it still rubs quite a bit going in and out of the pockets. The pockets themselves are rather deep which is nice, nothing is worse than shallow pockets that your stuff falls out of constantly. These shorts fit nicely with the stretch waistband that expands for a comfortable fit. The pockets face the front and not the sides so it’s different than most shorts. There is one back pocket without a button so it’s possible to lose your item. I carry a comb in my back pocket so it would be easy for it to fall out. These are fabulous! True to size, soft fabric and they have a great look to them. The length is perfect and my husband said they are very comfortable to wear. I like that they can be casual or a little dressy depending on how you wear them.
