Ordered to mount to a scoped rifle for use in low light. The green dot was highly visible. The green dot was even visible in bright light. I am very impressed with brightness!

  • Spring is trash, pay more for something reliable.
Style: Green Laser Sight
I encountered the same issue as others...the recoils squishes the spring on 5.56. That makes this useless. I didn't get through 45 rounds and it stopped, pulled spring out, it worked, 15 rounds later, battery doesn't reach again. Outside of that it seems nice. Terrible durability as stated didn't last 40 rounds before recoiled of a 5.56 squished the spring. That is just ridiculous. ... show more

  • Get free rechargeable batteries that fit this laser from a disposable vape.
Style: Green Laser Sight
Great laser for gun sight or astronomy. My only complaint is that the batteries are expensive, and hard to find locally. The good news is that if you vape or know someone who does then you've got access to free rechargeable batteries that fit this laser. Find a used up disposable vape and recharge the battery before taking the vape apart. The + end of the battery is red, and touches the end cap of the laser. Works great! ... show more

  • Bye Bye Geese!!!!!
Style: Green Laser Sight
Bye Bye Geese!!! I live on a private lake and this summer we were besieged with 25-35 geese and burdened with a close minded HOA that prohibited the use of any barriers on our nicely manicured waterfront. Owners kept one eye on the water all day so they could run outside to bang sticks or pots/pans together, use bike horns, shoot starter guns and firecrackers, yell, scream and holler, put up cut out paper foxes, throw rocks, etc. Then they had to clean the lawn especially after the “deposits’ made during the night. This is mainly a retirement community and it was sad to watch some the less able bodied try to clean the lawn. I did some research on goose deterrent devices and found most to be ineffective. I bought Mylar tape and stakes but the HOA ordered it removed. I decided to spend $20 on this little green laser and it turned out to be priceless. The geese HATE it. It disturbs the ambient light around them and they perceive it as a threat. They moved as if they saw their most mortal enemy on the shore! The best part is that I didn’t even have to get up. I would sit on the balcony or deck, wait until they were near the shore and then flash it. This laser is far reaching and I used on it the neighbors lawns as well. In the bright sunlight and on the water I would loose track of it. Under those circumstances I found it worked best to wait until they were within a few feet of the shoreline so that I could see where it was aimed. On overcast days, at dusk or at night it was a miracle worker. One morning around 2am, they were making a huge racket. I couldn’t see them but I aimed it in the general direction and it was instant chaos. Half flew away and the rest dispersed to wherever they hide out and peace was restored. I was careful not to use it when other animals were outside, aim it toward the sky and the grandchildren weren’t allowed to touch it. Read the online studies, the reports on the humane society websites as well as other government websites that deal with wildlife and watch the videos on youtube. Next year I plan on installing some on the dock. There is some evidence that shows a night time laser will make geese view the area as a threat and they will migrate to another location. The biggest drawback is that you have to be outside or on a porch, deck or balcony to see the geese approaching. But where else would you be in the summer on a lake? ... show more

  • Maybe the same problem others have had
Style: Green Laser Sight
After firing several rounds 300 black out the laser quit working, went home inspected unit. Battery voltage was good but found, what I believe is my problem, the recoil caused battery to squash the spring that applies pressure to maintain battery contact. I stretched the spring and laser worked as it should. Next trip to the range it worked for several rounds then was intermittent found spring squashed again. My next attempt is a approximately 3/8” length of 1/4” id pvc around the spring which should limit the amount of compression of the spring in recoil? ... show more

  • Good on AR-15 in daylight - or for astronomy.
Style: Green Laser Sight
Very impressive brightness. At night time I can easily see the laser dot at 575 yards - see attached photos. Easily visible in daylight on a cloudy day at noon at 50 yards, as I was shooting today. I have not been able to test at further distance in daylight, nor under clear skies. But I can say that compared to my $400 Eotech 512, this is just as much fun and just as accurate at 50 yards shooting targets for fun. I did not get to shoot further than this, but my impression is that the dot will be a tiny bit larger than the 1 MOA Eotech dot (on the holographic site) at 100 yds, making this less accurate than an expensive holographic sight at long distances. Heck, no one is going to tell you this is BETTER than an Eotech. and I'm not getting rid of my Eotech - they are totally different technologies. There are some definite practical advantages of holographic sights over laser sights - but that is for another discussion. If you just want to get your bullet to the right spot, if you just like to go to the range and shoot 50 - 100 yds, you'll get the same results using this Pinty laser sight as you will with an expensive holographic site, and have just as much fun. I shot 300 rounds of 5.56 today on an AR-15 and this held zero very well. It won't fail due to recoil, and the mount is excellent high quality anodized aluminum. Comes with a picatinny rail mount, battery, and a figure-8 mount. I have always thought laser sights were silly until I actually tried this. I am EXTREMELY satisfied - for the price you just have to get one. This also comes with a battery, an allen wrench for you to mount it, a remote switch, and some velcro to mount the remote - the remote is 'momentary on" only. That means that when you press it, the laser is on. When you release pressure, it goes off. You cannot click to toggle the laser on / off using the remote - you have to press the tail cap button to do that. I'd rather have a remote toggle on/off - but in my experience, all such remotes are momentary - I've not found a remote toggle for any lights or laser yet. Also the windage and elevation adjustments are excellent - nice palpable clicks, very crisp, and nobs are easy to use without tools. Very easy to sight in. This laser beam is also GREAT for studying astronomy with my children - to point out stars and constellations at night. Photos show the beam at night, and a map of the distance. I ordered a second one today, and suggest you get one -- this is worth a LOT more than $20. The mounting hardware alone could be $100. This is an insane bargain! ... show more
