Really light weight before filling the lid with water to turn into ice. The lid is removable and you fill it with water and freeze it. I think I would prefer a detachable ice pack because I feel when this splits the lid will be useless. The top is not insulated from the outside air which makes the unit sweat in hot weather. See my picture from my spouse being at work in July factory. It will hold ziplock food containers with no room to spare. He has to put the lid back in the freezer each day after work. I don’t know if I want his factory job lid in my freezer with my food. Really on the fence on this one. May work better on the shoulder seasons when it is not so hot outside. The handle has to be in a down position to the one side in order for the lid to come off. You have to take the lid off to freeze it. The lid sweats, my spouse has a towel on the seat in his car for it. ... show more
