Instructions: 1. Remove 30+ beads from tiny individual zippered baggies 2. Manually hook large beads to string of smaller beads 3. Manually hook each strand to fixture, one by one. Be sure to bend the little metal thingy good so it doesn’t slip out when you flip the fixture back over. 4. Go to the store to buy special bulbs because I’m sure you don’t have this kind lying around already 5. Begin shoulder workout (aka, hanging of the now-heavy fixture) 6. Admire.     • Are you prepared to modify your mounting brackets to install your light?
It shouldn't take an engineer to install this light, but thankfully I had one on hand. The diagram included in the installation guide showed mounting brackets with a different number of holes, in different places, and of different sizes from the ones that actually came with the light. We ended up using the mounting bracket from the light we removed, but the other option would have been to drill a new hole or use a file to widen the hole that was offset from the screw hole on the second bracket needed to mount the light. Lets just say that the installation should have taken 10 minutes (not including assembly of the crystals), but instead took an hour and would require some extra tools if you didn't have another bracket that would work. The final product is really beautiful and I only gave it three stars because of the hassle required to install it. ... show more
