  • Put the work in, Reap the rewards
Color: 68-Degrees Style Name: Right-Handed
I have difficulty with high-lofted, soft-landing wedge shots around the green. Especially when I’m pitching from a short side approach, trying to gently let it roll out and tuck it close. I’ve tried everything with my 56° & 60° wedges, obviously using opened faces of various degrees. I’m just not good enough to be consistent. Until now. This is an excellent club for exactly the instances just described. The exaggerated loft at 68° is perfect. I’ve seen other lofts at 69°, 70° and 72°, but thought this would be ideal for me. And it has proven to be. Please note: Don’t just assume it will perform like your other wedges. As you can clearly see in the photos, it has no bounce. You have to practice with it. Practice, practice, then practice a little more. Put it in various lies and at various turf conditions & heights. This thing is like a razor. It’s great for really tight lies, so obviously, if your ball is sitting up nicely but you need to clear a bunker, give it some gas. Otherwise it will cut cleanly underneath your ball and it will sail maybe two feet. Also, it’s worth a try in the bunker. But DON’T open the face!!! You’ll never get out otherwise. Just swing like a normal wedge shot regarding direction - and maybe tighten your entry point a tad. All in all, it’s a great addition to the bag. But if I had to cut down to 14 for a particular round or event, I’m not entirely sure which one to sacrifice. ... show more

  • Well made club, price is right to try it out or just for fun, but ultimately the 68 degree version is a gimmick for on course
Color: 68-Degrees Style Name: Right-Handed
I have the 68 degree version. It's hard to fault pine meadow for this, but ultimately a 68 degree wedge is just a gimmick. The number of useful shots you can hit with this club over the course of a round is very minimal. Because of the extreme loft, distance control with it is nearly impossible. I found myself wanting to hit down on the ball more, which, at that point, you might as well just hit a 64 or 60 degree wedge. The grip was kind of plastic-y with not a lot of tackiness. That being said, this is the right price for a club like this. I think it was worth what I paid, just for the novelty and fun factor. I occasionally play a par 3 course and I bring it to that. I also end up sometimes using it to practice with when my ball striking with my other wedges gets off. Because this club is so sensitive to ball striking up and down on the face , it really allows you to hone in and cut down on fat/thin shots with your other wedges if you practice hitting shots with this club. ... show more

  • Great club great price.
Color: 68-Degrees Style Name: Right-Handed
I needed another club with more degrees to it and found this one to be perfect. Get out of the sand easily. Ball comes out with great spin. Love the look and feel of the finished metal on the club head.

  • This club is amazing… Exactly what I needed. Everyone should have one.
Color: 68-Degrees Style Name: Right-Handed
First of all for the people in the reviews saying they can’t hit it… They’re just really bad at golf… Not that I’m not great, but I’m decent. I needed something for 30 yard shots or 20 yards were you don’t want to go long… I have a 60° and I have a 64° but I can hit those 50, 60, 80 yards… With the 68° it’s not going longer than 40 that’s for sure another nice swing it goes about 25 or 30 yards Which is perfect for getting over a bunker which I did today. My first time using it, I used it about six or seven times this round and all but one of them landed within 10 feet for a putt. The other guys in my group kept saying great shot every time I used it. Also for the people saying when would you use it? Almost every hole that you’re close to the green but it’s a little too much rough to bump and run because the ball will get caught up in it or you absolutely can’t go long. How often are you 30 yards short of the green? For me it’s a lot of times. And it’s such a stressful shot. Now I’m super confident That I can just take a normal swing and it’ll go about 25 yards ... show more

  • I cant hit it
Color: 68-Degrees Style Name: Right-Handed
I'm an average golfer but am unable to hit this club. The angle is to flat for me. Not the clubs fault, seems to be a nice club for the money. I'm just unable to hit this.

Love this wedge. Lost my sand wedge and this was what I replaced mine with and it got her in like two days. I am loving Pinemeadow Golf equipment so far.

  • Nice wedge for cheap
Color: 68-Degrees Style Name: Right-Handed
Pretty interesting wedge. I don't think most players will have a real need for it and it takes some practice before you'll be able to hit a good shot with it consistently. It works very well for super short up and downs from say a steep downhill lie neat the green or a deep bunker. It will pop the ball basically straight up when you make good contact but if you miss you will blade the neck out of it or slice an ice cream scoop shaped divot right out from under the ball. I have found a few uses for it though and it was less than $30 so no complaints here other than the grip is pretty cheaply made. Get a new grip and bam. Neat little wedge for very specific situations. ... show more
