  • been using these for 20 years
Color: Black
great pens with a thicker nib than the pilot pens with just the 'tube' nib. I broke the tube nib ones all the time. These are a much better fit for me. Ink dries quickly, good for lefties.

  • My new favorite pens!
Color: Black
I was gifted a Pilot Vball in Purple color and it was such a joy to use that I purchased this 12 back in black ink for more practical daily use. They are now my favorite pen! Very easy to write with, nice fine point, doesn't smear or smudge on normal paper. Be careful on any paper that has a glossy finish though as liquid style gel ink pens might have a harder time drying without smudging. At first I thought the removable cap might be annoying (I'm used to click pens) - but I actually really like writing with this pen with the cap set aside, as the shorter length and more condensed weight makes the pen feel very balanced. I'll keep using these pens exclusively until I find something I like better! ... show more

  • Best Pen EVER, Period!
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. And that period will show up with a single tap of the pen. Go ahead, get out a ball point pen and try making a period as a dot, not as a tiny line. Just stick the ball point to the page and lift off. Sometimes you get nothing, sometimes you get that little half ring looking shape from the ink residue left over from the previous stroke. With this pen, you get a period. A little perfect dot of ink (see video, the noise is my fish tank). This is the best pen you will ever use. Once you start writing with it, you won't want to put it down. I started using this pen in high school, and never looked back for over 10 years. (There was a time I thought they discontinued it because they stopped selling it in stores, and I literally was never happy writing. I only tolerated pens until I found this one online again). The quality of strokes from the pen is beyond compare. There is no skipping, there is no little dead spot at the beginning of a stroke like you get with other ball points (BiC is bad about this). The ink is even from the moment the pen touches paper to the moment it lifts off. You can even get incredibly thin lines. I have tried to make it skip by just letting the pen hang from my hand and applying no extra pressure (outside of gravity) to the page and drug it across the paper. Worked just fine, a continuous line (see video). Another quality is the ink is DARK. Its not the light grey some companies are calling black (Zebra). I use this at home and at work, and its the only one I use. Its the only one you should use too. ... show more

  • Very good pens for handwriting
Color: Black
update 22 Aug 2018. I a recent online article about best pens, this one wasn't mentioned. Obviously those folks made a mistake. These are the best pens. (end of update) I bought one of these at a local shop, did some extended writing with it, and compared to my other favorite pens. It's quite a good pen, and the ink dries rapidly which is a plus for us LEFT-HANDED WRITERS. If you have a good writing speed, like I do, you have probably experienced some pens that need a "pause" because of starvation at the tip. These pens have a generous supply, so the next step if you do a lot of writing is to also have a good notebook like a RHODIA whose pages are still designed for real ink. With these pens you can have a beautiful stroke, almost like a good fountain pen, and unlike many others, they don't leak in your pocket in hot weather. Only drawback is that the ink supply is a bit limited. Buy them by the dozen. The blue ones have a nice dark color. ... show more

  • Overall okay
Color: Black
I've always loved this model of pen but this box was inconsistant. It had a few pens that skipped enough to be annoying and hard to use.

  • Great for engineering drawing mark-ups!
Color: Red
Pens are a little pricey but I work for an engineering company and the engineers love to use these on their drawings. Don't tend to bleed through, write nice & smooth. Comfortable to hold for long periods of time.
