I enjoy hiking and I live in Alaska, so much of that hiking occurs in the snow. These gaiters have heavy canvas tops and bottoms, but the section that protects most of my shin is a very light fabric, rather than the heavy canvas from top to bottom like most gaiters, which allows them flexibility . Using for x-country skiing and hiking in snow (off trail). The drawstring on upper calf (below knee) is very convenient and works well. Velcro closure kept snow out. Undersole boot strap is a little difficult to unbuckle when in or covered with snow. Perhaps a spring/gator clip instead of buckle would be better. I definitely recommend. ... show more

These are the best I have used. Love the quality of the materials used. The foot strap is thick and heavy duty. The elastic around ankle and foot really helps keep a tight fit and snow out. The velcro seal is wide making a solid seal and very adjustable around leg. Would definitely buy again but don't think I would need to with this quality. ... show more

First impressions: very good. Nice little bag to store them. Fabric feels heavy duty & tough. Strong Velcro, lots of snaps and ways to adjust size and fit. As I put them on, it became apparent that the bottom strap is too far back. Instead of being more in the arch of your foot, it is sewed toward the heel. If you are using trail runners rather than boots, this may be an issue as it has nowhere to sit, and feels awkward. I really had to pull the strap forward for the picture i took. I may even end up cutting off the strap since several of my other pairs of gaiters don’t even have them. The only other issue I have is the fit, but that is more my body type than anything I think. I’m 5’6 and a very athletic build. Even cinched up tight and on the smallest setting, I have about an inch of extra material making these quite baggy on me. They are also not as tall as I expected, which I’m happy about. I mostly just want to use them to keep mud off my pants for winter backpacking. ... show more

Product arrived earlier than expected and was as advertised. The leg gaiters work well and adjustable fit makes them very comfy. They keep the water and thorns off in heavy brush. When I received the gaiters I had a cosmetic issue with the logo on one of the gaiters basically it was upside down. Called customer service and they immediately made things right by replacing the gaiters. Customer service was very fast and thorough. The issue was strictly cosmetic but they replaced the gaiters immediately. ... show more
