I have used these a few times now for walking/hiking for a few miles in 6"-12" of snow and have been impressed. They are very easy to put on with the full-length velcro, just open them up and wrap it around your leg from front to back, sliding the strap over the bottom of your shoe/boot in the process, and seal the velcro. Then attach the clip to your shoelace to keep them from riding up. I am 5'11" and these come up to the bottom of my knee. I have used them in combination with my low-cut Merrell Moab Goretex hiking shoes and have stayed completely dry up to my knees. I have walked through snow, shallow streams, through wet bushes covered in snow and ice, and have remained dry. They are lightweight and comfortable to wear to the point that I forget that I have them on at some points. They also seem quite durable and resistant to ripping from getting caught on branches and other things of the sort. They are worth it for the price. ... show more

We have snow coming in tonight and these arrived just in time. They fit nicely over hubby's jeans. Not too tight and not too loose. Hubby is happy with them. The real test will be tomorrow morning when he has to go outside in the snow. Will update my review if they don't live up to the hype.
