My husband bought 2 boxes for my 3 year old for his birthday. We thought 120 pieces would be more than enough, though once my son started building things, we realized it's not near as much as we thought. So I ordered him 2 more boxes for Christmas and now I think that is the perfect amount. All 4 boxes fit nicely in an 11" cubby. I should note that my son really only uses the squares, in which is why the 2 original boxes weren't enough. It would be amazing if we could buy only the squares, but that is not currently an option. The larger pack size offers several different shapes, so that is why we stuck with the 60 piece pack. The Magnet tiles themselves: Magnets are strong and hold well. They are durable and can withstand rough play without breaking. My son has thrown them, they have been stepped on by everyone in the family and my son likes to build towers and "Hulk Smash" them. We havent had a single broken piece and have had frequent play for nearly 2 years. Between the heavier plastic and the magnet strength, they can build tall towers without falling as well as do not fall apart with slight touches. The Magnets are in well and not one has fallen out despite rough play, unlike other brands we have tried. They are also so easy to clean. I use a clorox wipe and it makes it so easy. I have not tried washing them in the sink as I don't want the Magnets to lose their strength nor do I want them to rust. Interest level: My son, now 4, struggles with staying focused and interested in anything more than a few minutes. These tiles are a staple in our house. My son plays with them nearly every day and will sit and play for an hour at time, longer if we play with him. He doesn't lose intest in them right away like so many other toys. These will make the perfect gift for any child who likes to build, smash things, rough players or who have an imagination. There is literally so much you can do with them. PS. The media could not be loaded. These are our daughters, and our favorite toy! They’re so fun to play with with her, they’re hands on, easy to clean up, entertaining, and educational. They’ve helped her learn her shapes and colors, and helped her learn to build and be creative(: Highly recommend!

Great quality and very durable. They are compatible with off brand too. But unlike off brand these don’t crack! The kids have so much fun with these and will build creations for hours. My kids range from 1-11 and everyone enjoys them!! They are a good size to have in your home with babies around they can’t choke on these. Perfect gift for kids of any age! ... show more

Got these as a birthday gift for a 3-year-old and they were a huge hit! Colorful and easy to assemble even for little hands, I'm sure these will provide many hours of creative fun for years to come. Save your money and get these instead of Magnatiles, as they're about half the price-- I compared both side by side, as the recipient already had a small set, and they are basically identical. My only regret is I wish I had gotten the larger set, 100 pieces or more, since the 60 piece set doesn't go as far as you'd think! ... show more

This is our 4th set of Picasso Magnetic Tiles that we have purchased over the past few years for Christmas gifts for our grandchildren. Every year, the kids ask for more to build bigger and better houses or buildings, or barns. I love the bright colors and the variety of shapes that come in this set. Children use their imaginations and get creative in their constructions every time they use them - from the age of 2 to adult! (I love to build with them, too!).
