We have a farm that was recently inundated with mosquitoes during our last hay cutting. I had purchased these to take camping, but broke some out to keep the bloodsuckers at bay on our porch. We couldn't go out to get the mail or head out for chores without them coming at us in droves. We were looking like we had some kind of pox on exposed skin. We have good bug spray, but we have to wait until we get outside to spray it. These coils helped keep the onslaught to a dull roar to the point we could almost sit on our porch for morning coffee. We didn't want to risk it, though. Oddly, I didn't have to use them during my camping trip. The only annoying insects were yellow jackets and all they wanted was to share a bit of our food and water. I am sure if I hadn't brought these coils, we would have had to deal with mosquitoes. I didn't mind the smell of these and they lasted longer than we needed. They are a good addition to our arsenal against mosquitoes.

Well I tried one when I was sitting outside, this seemed to work. My only complaint is that I don't know how to"shut" it down when I'm going into the house. If I'm only outside for say less then an hour I don't want to let it continue working for the next two hours. There must be a way to stop it and re-light it later. It just seen like a waste of 2 hours of I'm only using an hour. Which by the way they said it works for 3 hours and that's exactly how long it works. I recommend.

Called manufacturer of the coils. There are 2 types made in 2 different countries. Depending on country of manufacture the coils are light colored with no odor or dark green with perfumed odor. Was assured that they work the same! Use different types of pesticide is all. Going to try the light ones.

Just be careful taking them apart so they do not brake. They work great to keep mosquitoes away. The smell is not too annoying for the people. It is smoke, at the end of the day, but it has a nice scent. Set a couple in a corner and forget about getting bit for the rest of the night. They do last for hours as advertised.

I buy PIC brand often. This set (box) burns a bit faster and is a tad more brittle than the box before it. Not really a big issue, just handle more carefully. The faster burn does produce more fog in the air, which is good when trying to keep the nasty mosquitos away.

I've ordered these for the first time last month and it worked well for me. My husband and I are super sensitive to scents and I like this a lot because, not only it works well, but the scent is quite mild which makes it more tolerable to the sinuses. The only negative thing I can say about this product is, they break off easily while untangling the coils. I'm out in the yard from 5:30 until almost 9 tending to my garden and chickens and I literally carry a coil around with me. I just wish I could find a way to strap one on my boot without breaking the coil instead of carrying it with me.
